Neuhnee
Nova is super cheap, that's why you see so many of them. Redirection will make her just as immortal as any other frame so the whole 'glass cannon' argument is just a joke, after that just add as much range and damage as you can and press 4 to win. Efficiency and Duration don't matter because all her abilities are insta-cast and you'll be room clearing enough mobs at a time that you'll get all the energy you need to *keep* room clearing. Super boring frame.
HasuShiro
You want to focus on Power strength and power range (and some efficiency)The only abilities affected by Power Duration are the two less-important abilities...(I'll edit this post with some more info later) EDIT*Allright, first off you might want to know that Nova is more a defense / exterminate frame than anything else. You basically want to build around Molecular Prime and Antimatter drop Since the other abilities have a huge fall off on higer levels. Here's a example of my own build :You can decide yourself what you want to do in the far right slots. I personally have been too busy with other frames and weapon to forma this one :s(Ofcourse this is to me a core-build, it's all up to you.)The Power range affects both the range you can put Molecular prime and the range of the explosion, which increases the area creatures will get hit and increases the size of the center where damage is at its higest (Wich means a higer damage output, specially in large groups)The power strength speaks for itself.(You can use this same build on Mag and her Polarise/pull abilities VS corpus. More enemy shields = more damage ) Edited March 28, 2014 by ShiroiHasu

taiiat
since i generally prefer to be a team player than trying to be slimy (i do have a slimy loadout whenever XP min/maxing with others is wanted, but it's far from enjoyable): that being said, as far as i'm concerned, Antimatter Drop is the only redeeming feature of the frame. those Cannonballs are quite amusing. the rest is just dull. Keyse
Nova is pretty cheap and easy to maintain, but the part about the glass cannon I don't agree with. Anyone who has gotten a surprise knockdown from an Ancient or a Heavy gunner knows what I am talking about. You fall, you die. Add on the infested chargers literally dog piling you while you're down and things get ugly. Efficiency is nice to keep those spamables cheap. Sometimes in the higher tier defense missions the game gets stingy with energy. I know that can be countered with an Energy siphon, but that can only get you so much and doesn't help in a pinch. Duration is vital if you're using a Null Star build. The more duration you have, the more Null stars are summoned. Have enough stars and they will keep those unwanted Ancients a little further away. The fact that we can use 4 to win is why Nova is one of the most hated frames. If you want to get a team upset quickly do that. There is a time and place for everything, molecular prime is a good example. As a general rule, I tend to save my M. Primes for when there are 10+ mobs in an area (usually Null star takes care of them tho), or if there is no other way to survive. Emergency uses are tolerated for most groups. M. Prime does have a nice crowd control, which I hear is pretty good in the harder T3 missions (like defense and longer survivals), I don't see people complaining then as it doesn't kill the mob instantly, and slows them down as well. Antimatter drop is pretty well the secret weapon of a Nova. With a great weapon, or a Paris prime, you'll be looking at hundreds of thousands (or in some cases even millions) of damage spread over a wide area. I don't see a lot of people using it though. Not as much as M. Prime. Which is a shame. It takes more skill than pressing 4, but it pays off big time. I haven't seen Wormhole used too often in combat, but occasionally you run into someone who teleports across the map to revive someone, or teleports a mob somewhere more managable. I usually see this used a lot in speed runs. Get there quickly, and skip the unneccesary. There are some nice builds out there, and a lot of them are more fun and more skillful than just pressing 4. Nova has speed, attack, a crowd control, and spinning balls of doom around her. You just have to find your niche and experiment with it. Yes Nova can be a nuisance in the hands of someone with a twitchy 4-key finger, but with some responibility and a little self control, Nova can be a super good assest to any team on any map. Now to answer your question. :) I am by no means a pro at this, and am always looking for advice to make my part of the team stronger. I use what I am comfortable with and what keeps me alive. ***Everything will be maxed unless otherwise stated, my Nova is potato'd, and has been forma'd three times.*** For my normal run build I use Corrosive projection as an Aura, and Null star and M. Prime for my skillset. I have Continuity (for more balls with Null star), Streamline to keep things cheap, Steel Armor (6/10) to keep me alive longer when i get knocked down. Rush because I like going fast lol. Intensify, Flow, and finally Redirection and Vitality (both 8/10) That's usually what you find me running with. Not the best build by any means, but I like it. For rushing, I use Null star and M. Prime, Intensify, Flow, Redirection and Vitality (8/10 again), and Rush. Have added in Marathon, Quick reflexes, and Shield flux tho to keep the speed going longer. I use this specifically for boss rushing, or getting through a mission as quickly as I can when soloing and I know there won't be any serious threats. The third build is for Antimatter drop. I use M. Prime and then shoot an Antimatter drop into the group charging it with a Paris Prime (for crits). The Antimatter combined with M. Prime makes for a pretty nifty damage dealer, and let's face it, everyone loves explosions! For this I use Energy Siphon to keep the energy topped off. The build isn't any good when the energy levels are at 0. Intensify, Streamline, Flow, Redirection and Vitality (8/10) are used again. Stretch for more range, Fleeting expertise for more efficiency (duration isn't a big deal in this build), and Blind rage for more strength (the fleeting expertise keeps this cheaper as well). I use this build when I'm doing a defense alone. When using it with a team, they tend to kill the mobs while you have it M. Primed and then people get angry. That's about all I have to tell you. Nova is fun, and can need some skill if using certain builds. She needs some self control tho, as it is easy to prime everything all of the time. If you use her properly and don't spam 4 so much, people will be greatful to have you on their team. Glad to see another Nova running around! (PSN)ShadowDancing-
Last post explained stuff. Here are a couple builds. The first is my current favorite "all purpose" Nova build for anything short of level 50. http://goo.gl/qdSB8a It has a lot of durability, mobility, damage, and works for any planetary mission, alerts, even Nightmare mode. The second is an end game AMD build from Drazt http://goo.gl/4tuDwg More about both those builds in this thread, as well as several other Mprime builds from Drazt https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/201217-my-frame-builds-for-help-critique-and-discussion/
Zrylics
http://goo.gl/QUjpGiThis is a build completely based around Molecular Prime. Haven't got round to using more FormasThis is not my own build, it is Myocarde's, pretty much
