These are my phages builds for the 3 factions. I'm going to be using some forma soon but I don't know what I will use to fill the last two slots.

Ditch Tainted Shell for Viscous Spread.

 

Last 2 slots can be Bane and a 4th element, or Shotgun Spazz and Ammo Mut.

if you want the best results its better to go to Mogamu youtube channel 

he can turn a crappy gun into a insta-kill weapon just look at his Paris prime build

I got this build from Mogamu but he didn't finish it. I like Tainted Mod and it doesn't affect myu damage negatively but I might as Vicious Spread though.

Tainted shell does reduce your dps significantly

Not sure what youre saying, but the fire rate decrease doesnt decrease damage/ammo, but DOES drastically decrease damage/second.

Ok I've noticed a significant increase in damage. Will the Tainted Shell and Vicious Spread work together?

Yes, but why ? Try Synapse instead of Tainted Shell, or use a low ranked Tainted Shell

If you really want to use Tainted Shell I would pair it with Shotgun Spazz and not use Vicious Spread.

So basically. Just build with elemental damage? I don't have the Shell Shocked Mod yet since the Tethras doom event isn't over yet on PS4.

Tainted Shell is generally bad. Vicious Spread is good, but only if you like the spread increase. 

 

4x elements works, or 2x and Shotgun Spazz/AB and Ammo Mut gives more DPS but less status.
