Warframe Prime Trading Suggestion.

Hey all.

First off, I could not find a thread category that dealt mainly with trading suggestions apposed to trading B> or S> posts, so if this is the wrong category, please move me.

With the implementation of prime trading a month or two ago (can't fully remember), the community voiced their opinions, ranging from the extremely positive (players who hated RNG based weapons that were straight improvements on their base versions), and the extremely negative (players who felt the reason for trying to earn prime weapons is gone, and now feel almost no pride in having the prime version of their favorite weapon).  In all of this, I do not think I have read or heard of an all round appeasing solution to prime trading other than the token system.  I have no issues with the idea of a token system, but I do not think it is the best idea unless many restrictions concerning where to build, how to build, the cost of building, or the token values were placed on it.  And with me thinking of the restrictions, one easy to maintain restriction on prime trading evolved in my mind.  I have voiced it with other players (although never posting a thread on it), and almost all of them said they would be happy with it.  So, my idea is..........?

Timed exclusivity of prime items in regard to earning:

Since people complained that getting prime gear through trading is encroaching into the 'Pay to win' side of gaming, and people who wanted the prime gear after grinding 100's of keys, and still not getting, why not appease both groups, and give people who want the primes now, by paying, can still do so.  When a primes is released, it will be untradable until 2 months after the release (appeases people who want to take pride in their primes).  The prime access will still be offered, but maybe lower the plat given so it is not as good as just buying plat (as with prime access, you will be getting the accessories and prime items), so this appeases people who are wanting to buy items without some sort of cost (they decide between larger amount of plat, or a smaller amount of plat with no need to farm for primes).  2 months after the release of primes, all BP and components released in that update become tradable.  This appeases people who have a frustrating time when it comes to RNG and being given anything but the parts they want.  It also give the other two groups of people time to stock up in order for the demand of others to be met with the supply.  People can still make plat from trading primes part, the pride of earning a prime is returned, and DE will receive money from the people who buy prime access.

So, what do people think of my idea of a solution?

As I see it, every-time theres new primes, these are extremely rare on the drop table. And when new updates come out, the previous batch of primes becomes less rare, meaning in 2 months, the last batch is always easier to acquire anyway.

Don't really know if you idea solves anything.

The system is still as it always haves been, too much RNG, too much grinding, and even with all the cleaning of drop tables, and even with the trade, these primes keep on being acquired true out a bad system (RNG).

i do not like it in the least.

Trading is currently the ONLY defacto weapon we have against the horrible RNG of the void. By slapping a 2 month restriction on it, you are now discouraging people who only farm the Void to trade platinum. Besides, as 7Grims mentioned, after a month or so, older primes before a bit more common with the comming updates. So this solution, i feel, would only create more frustration than aleviate it.

Ok, yeah, I get your point.  When I was thinking of this idea, I thought the resource that acted like a token could be enough, but after reading your comment, making the token a random drop, when the mission it drops in has its availability based in RNG, would just compound the issue.  Also, the 'nightmare voids' would be very hard for players that do not have a very robust arsenal, and would more than likely ostracize new players, and even players who just do not have the time for a harder version of farming.
