Llyssa
So, someone posted today that they recruited a newbie, and discovered the horrors of the grustrag 3 together because they'd been to an invasion. He assumed it was the stalker, and things went south from there. So, now the newbie is tagged with a relatively hard-to-remove restraining bolt. I went back and looked at the mails from Hek, and, well, he's a tad vague. Menacing, yes, but I don't think it really spells out the level of consequence faced well. He suggested they just merely not show up at all for n00bs, but that seems abusable. Personally, I'm thinking that all restraining bolts should not be created equally--a newbie clearly doesn't need as strong of one as some high-ranking tenno. Having a few tiers of restraining bolt(with matching removal requirements) would help immensely. The tiered restraining bolts, and perhaps making sure the first hatemail is somewhat more specific would help. Besides, that's the great villain tradition: Telling the hero EXACTLY what you're going to do to them, and then laughing maniacally. Cheesy, perhaps, but it would stop future n00bs from going "What in the hell is this?"
Casardis
Yeah I agree. The kick in the butt that Stalker does is okay. You just lose a revive, but the way the Grustag does is much worse and they are currently harder to defeat (haven't fought buffed-back Stalker yet). Guest
(haven't fought buffed-back Stalker yet). I finally faced him today, first time in months, in the middle of a Ceres invasion. He killed me for the first time in over a dozen encounters... with an arrow he fired just as I shot the final bullet that killed him. It was hilarious that we killed each other at the same time, but gotta say he is somewhat of a challenge now. On topic, yeah, the Grustrag Bolt thing is interesting for a vet, but for a newbie it's just terrible. They need to fix that sh*t.
SquirmyBurrito
As long as they all look the same I'll agree. I'm still trying to get one of those sweet sweet bolts.

liavalenth
They need to change what resources are needed - or remove it entirely - for people under Mastery 4. I would say (without too much consideration really) Mastery 0-2 you never get a Restraining Bolt, 3-4 require Morphics, Nano Spores, and Alloy Plate to remove, then at 5+ keep it as it is. MeduSalem
I'm in for tiered bolts... As I already mentioned the day they introduced the G3 that the Bolts opened Pandora's box for newcomers, making things more unbalanced.
se05239
I would also like this. Me, who is Mastery Rank 15, should have a way higher requirement to remove a bolt than someone who is Mastery Rank 2.

Seriously. #@*&$@s just got me with a bolt, after they move the only boss that consistently dropped neurodes behind a @(*()$ grindwall. GOD DAMN IT. So, all is not lost, but yeah, I can see that being a slight issue. Curious to note that no bosses exist on any neurode-bearing planet now. Davoodoo
Tiered bolts, hmm I agree As long as you wont petition to remove them completely its fine.
DarthRevan84
Im fine with the way it is now. All punishment should be equal. Now if only they would remove taxi'ing to alerts from the game.

Okay, so you totally didn't understand. If I, an mr15 go running about in alerts and get marked, and then I decided to derp around in mercury, and some mr0 that started their first mission today ends up with me, and the G3 show up and beat us, the brand new player now needs to find 20 oxium, a neurode, a morphics, and a neural sensor, which, as they've completed 0 missions, they have none of, nor any hope of getting. Their game is officially over, since the first planet is NOTHING but grineer, and they are doomed to be doing 50% damage to them until they've gotten to jupiter, which requires passing earth, which is also full of much more difficult grineer. For any player under mr2, they effectively need to just delete their account and restart now. Ending a brand new player's game because they have crappy luck is totally senseless and completely pointless.
(PSN)DanteVincent
Stop crying, the game is easy as is, the only thing that adds a little anxiety to it and people complain? Lotus tells with all the words to get the hell out, you chose to stay. Last but not leat you do half damage to grineer only.
HiroProtagonest
If I didn't have Kappa unlocked I would've been screwed yesterday. Would've stopped me from trying to get Tranquil Cleave. Edited April 15, 2014 by HiroProtagonest

Lotus tells with all the words to get the hell out, you chose to stay. Last but not leat you do half damage to grineer only. Lotus tells THE TARGET. She says nothing to the rest of us. There is NO warning what consequences it will have, and NO way for low ranked players to handle the situation. It makes sense that they should gradient by mastery ranks. I don't know if it's possible for ps4 players to make a new account, but if it is, try it. See how long it takes you to get 1 neural sensor, 1 morphics, 20 oxium, and 1 neurode with a brand new account. Do NOT use any friends or clan to help you(new players wouldn't have access to that). Once you see how hard it is, THEN remember you're a player who's been playing for 5 months, not a total newbie who has no idea what they're doing yet. If you can't do that, just be quiet. Schwood
I agree. I got marked, switched to a low level frame to level-up and was swiftly gang banged and bolted. Made me realize how much this would have sucked if I didn't have 12 other frames and a foundry overflowing with materials.

Yeah, that newbie with the Braton with no damage mods "only" does half damage to "grineer only", IE, the entirety of Mercury and Earth. Nice. The Newbie might as well just quit the game at that point; he hasn't got a snowball's chance in Hell of actually having fun in Warframe anyday soon. 20 Oxium? You kiddin' me? Venus Oxium Ospreys are hard to kill without any sort of Serration. Neurodes? Yeah those "Can" drop from Earth.......oh wait, you do half damage to Grineer. Haha, good luck with that. Neural Sensors? You have any idea how hard the stuff on Jupiter can hit, when you're wearing newbie gear? Some of that junk in there actually does hurt if you're not, you know, mowing everything down in seconds as a MR10+ player. The bolts are ridiculous; people <MR5 should not be getting them period. Xylia
farm lephantis How do you expect someone with a Rank2-10 Braton, Lato, and Skana + starter frame with no special mods to farm a Lv30 boss? Did you not read the freaking thread? Some guy got into a group with a MR0 newbie... they got attacked by the G3 (last I checked, ONLY the guy being attacked sees the message) and the Newbie got the Bolt. How do you suggest a Newbie gets rid of the stupid bolt, mmm?
Khunvyel
How about Lotus sending you a blueprint like she does with material requirements tied and balanced to your mastery rank? That would have each and every level of player viable to get a taste of the Grustrag Three. Just like a Clan Key is usually craftable with only the first Mission of Venus, if at all. True true, addressed my concerns in the above post, just to reiterate, i think neurodes and morphics are fair, oxium, either reduce it to 10 or change it for detonite ampule, neural sensors are a pain even for me, mr 15, due to lack of patience admitedly, change it to 2k polymer bundle?
