PookieNumnums
How about this: Skins that you can wear over any character. Say, Proto Prime or something. Equipped on any of your frames to look like something completely different. Charge 300p. Id buy it. 500 probably. 850 id contemplate and if i was ahead on my bills and really liked it, yah. 1k i wouldnt consider.
Orbister
a skin that works in different meshes is probably the same work as actually making different skins for each mesh, even though the result is the "same" mesh (which would actually be different skins that look alike). Virtus_Dei_Est
i dont think i understand the idea... because even if you use the same skin, you still have to adapt it for every frame, seems like a lot of work for them looking the same. Edit: what orbister says... Edited March 29, 2014 by omega_phoenix
Dtexas
Of they do something like that, Id would prefer if it was an event reward instead of a buy with plat.
Noogums
I don't think this will be happening. Is the skin unisex? How would it perform within every idle animation without breaking? Can you still use ALT helmets?Just seems like it'd make too many problems. I think the Devs would rather make a skin for every Frame.

Noogums
Oh, that's simplicity itself. Not necessarily. Just going through one topic here: Weight Painting / Skinning. Every Warframe is skinned differently so that they don't deform in a way that looks unnatural when the rig is animated. Yes, there are still buggy areas when the rig is pushed, but that's another topic. If every Warframe is skinned differently and their animations are ultimately affected by it, then one model that goes between every animation set would need to be skinned separately for each. Even if it wasn't, in both situations, it would look very strange. This I can guarantee. Textures would stretch, there'd be ingresses, there'd be spaghetti-joints, and all the other fun stuff that comes when a model is doing an animation that was simply not designed for it specifically. LoopStricken
Not necessarily. Animations can be applied to any frame right now without issue. There used to be a bug that one could use to do it, but it seems to have been patched out. I can't remember where the thread is that had people posting their monstrosities, either. Noogums
Snip Yes, you can slap the animations on, but that doesn't mean they'll all work perfectly. When DE introduces the ability to use any Idle on any Frame, there will be lots of threads made about "Vauban has major clipping with Saryn's animations" and so on and so forth. LoopStricken
"Vauban has major clipping with Saryn's animations" and so on and so forth. Frames already clip with their own damn animation sets. :P
Noogums
Frames already clip with their own damn animation sets. :P Not the point. My point was that it's not simple, and I was just going through one reason why it isn't. If you insist on thinking it's a quick fix, be my guest. Hell, maybe it would be simple. But from my experience, it is not.
LoopStricken
My point was that it's not simple... But it is. It can be done right now, or could be if the bug still worked. Sure it wouldn't be perfect, but it wouldn't require any extra real work to get working. You want to talk about model problems, take a look at Rhino's back using his Agile stance. Take a look at Excal Prime's forearm when he blocks - his arm-fin thing caves in and pierces through the other side of his wrist. Any? Look, Noogums is more experienced in this field, and I think it's likely that he MAY know what he's talking about. Also, you're getting off topic. We aren't here to discuss Rhino's back problems, or Excaliburs arm issues. Someone said "hey, it would be cool to have a skin that could go onto any warframe and look the same!". Noogums stated that it would be difficult to make it work properly without basically creating a separate instance of the skin for each individual warframe. Long story short, just drop it dude. You seem a bit argumentative, but I agree that I seem to be talking about something completely separate. Yeah, the same skin design, to be usable on all models, would have to be redesigned for every model.

Secondly, didn't mean to sound argumentative, so sorry about that. Third of all (and lastly), I'm glad you responded in a calm and reasonable manner. You don't even KNOW how many forums I've been on where some guy/kid was told that they weren't being polite and responded by being even MORE childish/rude. So yeah. Back to the topic at hand though, having a skin that looked the same for every warframe would be AWESOME!! XD
LoopStricken
*snip* 's alright. And it'd only be awesome if we actually liked the skin.
