Noogums
For those who haven't seen it: I wonder, is this teasing that Volt, Trinity and Frost's cloth is coming with Update 13, or did the Devs just want to make these renders look fancy? We also got a glimpse of the Cloth code in the last Livestream, does this mean that Steve was so excited because it's almost ready that he snapped a picture of it?What do you think? Actually, the cloth for Volt, Trinity and Frost was shown AGES ago, even before the PS4 release, and it seemed to work absolutely fine, yet they never shipped it. Note: Frosts was only shown in the PS4 Trailer, where as Trinity's and Volts was shown in their animation software.

One thing is cinematics, another completely different is coding it and adding it to the game, take a look at syandanas how long they took to make them work right, and they still need improvements. at35z
I think it represents the new CLOTH PHYSICS! All of them has something on their back (except Excalibur), and we can see their clothes actually moving, not like in-game.
direcyphre
They've brought it up a few times, in that they still haven't finalized what they are going to use for cloth physics, but there is a lot in testing. In most cutscenes and the like for promotional features, games use animations, not built-in physics. Too unpredictable.
LGear
My hype was stoked the moment Excalibur showed up with an honest-to-goodness Katana. With sheathe (aka a saya) even!

They were shown ages ago through Maya Playblasts in a Livestream, but the system they were using back then for cloth simulation didn't work out, so they had to go back to the drawing board. Basically all those Playblasts showed is how they WANTED the cloth to flow and move, not how they're going to do it. Valiant
I seriously do hope the clothing physics are added and that the physics on everything else (syandanas and helmet pieces) are fixed up too. Either way, Excalibur completely reminded me of MGS 2 with Raiden and Snake x_X Edited March 29, 2014 by Naith
Nagisawa
I just wish that all the 'one handed' weapons would get redone into 'true Katana' style (not pure or realistic, of course, but close) two handed combat. One handing swords is only for sport fencing, where you'll face one on one and with a strict set of rules.

You mean something like this? by the way these are actual samurai in this film this was right before samurai were disbanded I believe. Not entirely true, most of the single hand types were used with shield offhand, since a large solid object can be a pretty helpfull survival tool (and weapon, oddly). Did you see me say 'One Hand and Shield'? No. I said One Handed Weapons only, nothing off hand. One hand only are for sports, not actual combat. Real world melee combat only has two 'true' styles. One Weapon, Both Hands and Two Weapons. And yes, a shield IS a weapon. Even during the Rapier era, even duelists used something in their off hand, Whether it was another blade, gauntlet, cloak or the like. One handed swords is so annoying to me. Especially when Katana are involved. I admit it's a pipe dream, but... It's my feedback.
