RedTextPrime
I some of the grineer needs a little looking into. I'm not talkiing about too much dmg, health or armor because when you get high enough, thats stuff is normal. I'm talking about scorpions. that grappling hook is too much.because it knocks you down and seems undodgeable. i not saving get rid of hit, just homing grappling would make 400+ enemies too difficult. some situations i could see a scorpoin fire off a hook, then i run all the way to it's 9 o'clock and still get pulled. I understand shield lancers carry a heavy shield and should knock you over all the time with each shield bash... but that range... i can dash past a shield lancer and be well away from it, but the moment it attacks i always get knocked down. the distance is an issue too. all i know is keep far away and kill it before it gets to you. because they seem to have 2-3 reach mods equipped or something. instead of invisible attacks i'd be ok with having shield lancers animate a quick dash to cover that distance. without a visual comfirmation of getting hit by that shield, it just gets frustrating. my basic complaint sounds like its an issue with range, though i admit i would like the range to be shorter. but i'd just want to visually see some of these invisble attacks and maybe the possiblity of dodging. LordMidnightX
I think your main issue would be lag
Brimir
Well, on the other hand the Scorpions are the only melee unit in the game that isn't utterly useless. Prod Crewmen, various forms of Infested, Grineer Powerfist/Flameblade... all cannon fodder.

Bassem
Indeed, that sounds like a lag issue. Play solo and you'll notice you can dodge hooklines and shields very accurately
Archistopheles
Scorpion hooks are definitely not "homing;" that much is sure.

Davoodoo
Indeed, that sounds like a lag issue. Play solo and you'll notice you can dodge hooklines and shields very accurately It isnt lag, enemies tracking is just too good, they wont miss a volt running on speed despite the fact that they should barely see him. If youre standing in place and you see a hook being fired its pretty easy to dodge but enemies can track you no matter how fast you are or what maneuver youre performing. Brimir
Ancient Disruptor? They've been nerfed to oblivion. They don't even zap all your Shields now.
Paradoxbomb
I find that Hellions, Napalms, and Bombards projectiles are stupidly powerful and impossible to dodge unless there's like 50m and a ton of debris between you and them, but I blame that on AoE mechanics being broken rather than the enemies themselves (though is it me or do Bombards fire ridiculously quickly now?) If explosive attacks didn't go through 15m of solid matter and did less damage the further you are from the initial impact (giving you a reason to actually bother dodging them), I think the heavies would be a lot more balanced. unmog
To the question are the Grineer too powerful? Short answer, yes. Long answer, not really. Yes, while the Grineer are the undisputed heavy weight champions of the galaxy right now the reason isn't because theyre "too hard". The reason is they got the highest armor, fast firing high powered hitscan weapons with aimbot accuracy, high bleed proc that triggers even when it doesnt penetrate your shields, huge area effect high damage over time napalm there's no defense from, rapid firing fly-by-wire guided missiles, guys with jetpacks and now even respawning zappy traps. DE obviously has a crush on the grineer, considering they have been getting most of the attention. When was the last Corpus upgrade? Even worse, what about infested? I havent seen an infested saw shooter or an infested jetpacker or an infested napalmer. And lets face it, the Corrupted [void] faction is sorely out-dated... and they were just reskins of normal enemies to begin with. I think the real problem is Grineer are a bit buggy, need some nerfs, and the other factions need some love too. The corrupted forces should be the most dangerous honestly. Makemap
What Grineer needs are the following: #1 Units to be less or not homing at all! Freaking Hellions + Bombard + Scorpions. #2 Bosses to be more Homing. Edited March 30, 2014 by Makemap
