Not worth it. Don't ever buy credit packs from the market with platinum.

Its way more economic to buy yourself a key package and use all the keys.

But honestly, you should not buy platinum. Exchange rates suck.

If you do a T3 Capture, the key costs 3-5 platinum and you'll get ~29,000 credits at the end for 5 minutes work.

There is a sub-section of players that have been brainwashed by other nefarious F2P games to the point where they 90% of the time run with Credit, Affinity, or Resource Boosters.

 

There is also a smaller sub-section of players that literally throw money at anything. It bounces off the screen, then they actually buy it with a credit card.

Its kinda sad, really. They are better off donating that money to charity.

Even that's not worth it. The recruiting channel is filled with people who need a +1 for void or derelict missions. Plus a 3 day credit boosting will get you to 50,000 cr per mission. Pretty easy to make half a million per day with the booster.
