If you're still using the starter equipment, you could build the regular Braton for a primary, or buy something like the Strun for credits. For a secondary I think you can buy the Lex for credits, and melee you can use the Cronus from the blueprint you should've gotten from Vor.

1. Level everything to 30 before selling it or upgrading

2. Do not install an Orokin Catalyst on any single pistol

3. Do not sell your Lato when it's 30, instead, use it to craft a Bolto. Once your Bolto is 30, craft an Akbolto

4. Mods Mods Mods Mods. Do you think your gun sucks? It's probably the mods, not the gun at your level

5. Don't worry about getting to Pluto. Focus on unlocking all the missions in your comfort zone.

6. Don't buy credits with platinum.

7. Above all else: Have fun first, farm second

there are many things i could give as an advice, is this. Dont let people tell you waht weapon to use.

If a weapon is not effective enough, level it up and experiment with mods.

Unlike most games, Warframe doesnt have good or bad weapons (though how powerful they are from the start is what people argue with).

Patience is also the key my fellow tenno.

The more useful skill you have is Pull. Every enemy in the direction you are facing will be literally pulled and thrown to the ground ragdolling. Use it when you are surrounded, it will help a lot. Don't use Crush (The last skill) so much. It's stronger but not as useful... or as cheap as Pull.

Best tip I can give you is, take your time! You're going to be thrown into figures and numbers and alerts and everything!

Enjoy yourself and just take your time to watch a few guides. Personally I love Peoples Choice Gaming (There are others which are just as good just his style works for me) and Spend your starter platinum on weapon/warframe slots.

If you want any tips or anything feel free to add me IGN: UK_LEMMING

I will try to help if I can.

Good Luck, Tenno!

Have any questions about the game?

Please, search the wiki! http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/WARFRAME_Wiki

The wiki can answer the most basic questions, for everything else, by all means post it on the forums (:

Want to test out some Warframe or Weapon builds?

Warframe-Builder is an amazing website where you can create, share and save your builds!(Account required for saving, but free sign-up(of course)): http://warframe-builder.com/Home

Want to see the gritty numbers for specific weapons? Or perhaps you want to see which one is the best for void? or Grineer? Or perhaps you're a DPS maniac(DPS isn't everything by the way)? Then DPSFrame is your home!: http://dpsframe.com

My own personal recommendation? Find a group of friends to play with. The game can get tedious/boring if you're playing with randoms online with no interaction or just by yourself. Also, I would recommend only buying platinum when you get a discount for it. You can get discounts for plat from Login Rewards: http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Login_Rewards

Also, here are some YouTubers that have great videos for you to watch and learn;

https://www.youtube.com/user/mogamuTV/featured

https://www.youtube.com/user/marcutio311/featured

They both do videos on new and old things. They try their best to be as up-to-date as possible.

I would also recommend looking at Mogamu's Warframe videos where he details what each Warframe is basically, then recommends a build for it:

He doesn't have a Mag video from what I can see...

Welcome pal, I can help you too if you need/want it. Just add Naegling to your friends list if yyou'd like, I have several frames that need leveling so I wouldn't be carrying you all too much either so you get the nice experience.

Use pull a lot focus on power strength power efficiency and power range, mag doesn't need power duration and don't believe anyone who says she does because I would have no idea what there talking about and there probably either new or stupid lol. Burston was the first primary I ever got it's a very strong gun. Oh and get Kunai for primary, Fang for melee it's got a low base damage but swinging at multiple hits per second it's the fastest melee in game, slap some damage mods on it and you'll be slashing through hoards of enemies killing all of them in seconds.

Take the time to practice your parkour moves and melee techniques. Learning how to run up/across a wall or slingshot yourself to bypass gaps and obstacles early on can make long rooms feel significantly shorter, or even help you get to hard-to-reach goodies, while providing a basis for more complex ways of getting around.

Addendum: Always scour the Defense maps for all the rewards you can before starting the mission. Open lockers, break containers - more money now means more savings later.

Double addendum: Save your starter Platinum for things you can't get without Platinum, like Warframe/Weapon slots.

Pay attention to the purple text and check the @WarframeAlerts twitter frequently. You can get groups for alert missions that will sometimes give you rare rewards, like Aura mods or Orokin Catalysts/Reactors that can increase the mod capacity of your Warframe and equipment, or recipes for new equipment entirely. Avoid the Nightmare Mods though, until you're more comfortable with the difficulty.
Addendum: Don't worry about the ones that only list credits as a reward. Usually not worth it.

Don't be afraid to try new equipment and frames - but make sure that whatever you pick up, you get to Rank 30 before selling, at least for the Profile Mastery rank. Releveling something gives you no Profile Mastery for the levels you've already gotten it to, so you still have to get a new piece of equipment all the way to Rank 30 even if you used to have one at Rank 29 to get full credit for it. A higher Profile rank can help you get to better or more unique equipment later on!

And if you see flickering in a mission that you're pretty sure isn't against Infested, be very afraid. :3

be aware that your equipment will fall a little short against the corpus at first because all your weapons are geared towards slash dmg which does well against flesh (normal health).

Impact = anti shield

Puncture = anti armor (yellow health bar)

slash = anti health

 however so long as you stay with your group or buddy while in the mission and duck under cover to let your shields recharge. you may be a space ninja but your not a space juggernaught.

go for head shots.

its also imperative to know just what your warframe is meant to do. mag relies more on her powers then then the other starters, loki relies on speed and stealth (i don't recommend him to new players because they usually play him like hes rhino).

at the start rely more on your aim, your stealth and your allies.

only some missions require the elimination of enemies... focus on the objective not where the bad guys are. this will prevent you from over extending on defense missions as well as avoid uneeded fights of attrition which no starter is geared for.

When it comes to modding your gear... match the shapes in the squares, generally speaking most weapons that do have polarities (shapes) on their slots.

don't use your free plat on swag use it on gunslots/warframe slots (their cheap and are permanent additions that reward you with a larger armory)

unless your out off ammo energy and have no allies to help you out... don't melee a boss... it wont end well. (except Valkyr.... she can go toe to toe with phorid any day >.>)

always go online the day of a livestream (not prime time) as the catalyst/reactor alert afterward will go a long way.

don't EVER sell anything before its rank 30... even your crappy starter gear... as each level contributes to your mastery rank (once a weapon reaches level 30 it will not contribute to the rank any longer) which will allow you access to stronger guns.

lastly.... try and join a clan. the weapons offered via research (once rank is high enough) and friendly faces will be a great help to not just you... just make sure to contribute some of your resources to their current project (give back to those who give)

P.S..... if you don't like PvP stay away from conclaves.

Hey, seasoned player here. If you'd like to add me in game, I can give you various rare mods that should help a bunch. I have a pretty big surplus of rare mods that no Tenno should go into battle without. I'll even throw in a bit of plat, though you'll have to be at least rank 2 for me to give any of it to you.
