Question

So I'm modding out my Galatine to do as much charge damage as possible and so far can I can get it to go as high at 1,640 but on Warframe-Builder it goes up to 3755.60 using the same mods I am

Am i doing something wrong or is the site just way off into left field?

Pretty sure it's counting your elemental damage into your total damage, which the in-game UI doesn't do.

Ok thanks

It looks like it doesn't factor in a lot of things like charge speed (Focus Energy) and puncture damage (Rendering Strike)

WBuilder is pretty good, except for 2 things.

The Burst and Sustained damage calculcations for Charged Melee and Burst Fire weapons is way off, because they use variables not provided by arsenal/codex (specifically swing and refire speed).

Everything else is pretty accurate.

It does factor in charge speed if you hit the part where it says "non-charge attack" it will change to charge.

As to the poster above me, burst dps is the DPS calculated without reloading and spamming the attack as fast as possible. If you could click as fast as the fire speed, it would be accurate. Of course there are some flaws because everyone is different in speed.

To clarify;

A charged melee attack has two time components, the Charge Speed and the Swing Speed. The swing has to complete before the next charge can start. Builder erroneously calculates Burst/Sustained DPS as attacks/charge speed, which assumes a new charge starts as soon as the old one finishes, ignoring swing speed completely.

A Burst Fire weapon generally has a very high RoF, which is the speed bullets fire during the burst. Another burst wont fire until after a preset refire time. Thus our Burst DPS is damage/bullet*RoF/refire time (or something like that). Builder erroneously calculates this as damage/burst * RoF which is waaaay off and makes burst weapons look like allpowerful gods.

Problem  is we aren't provided with swing speed or refire time variables, so its not really possible to calculate without empirical testing.
