You Have To Give Us More Variety De......

Sorry guys ...but it's a rant thread.

De!! You guys really need to give us some new material in the game. I have been here since U6. I have played  600+ hours etc etc.

I have played through all planets and their respective nodes.

The void offers very little in gameplay due to the dreadful reward system and drops. I really thought you guys might have made this better by now.

Defence in the void and Derelict is pathetic to say the least in terms of rewards. Again, this should have been settled some time ago.

What has happened to the invasions lately. They have really slowed up. Not much happening there is there?

I have been part of a great clan of about 30 members. I am the last of them here. They have all left Warframe for other games. I know of many other players that have abandoned this game to due to lack of content. (Yes I know it's still in Beta).

Here is a little idea I thought of to extend the longetivity of this game:

For each planet AND all of it's nodes, why not have a ranges of difficulties on them. Say, perhaps, 3 or 4? This way higher end weapons will need to be used to combat the harder the enimies. Clearing all level 1 nodes on a planet, will open up the next difficulty and so on. The further you progress in difficulty the better the rewards. (Mods and resources).

There are so many ways you could go with this idea.

C'mon now DE. I think you are slacking in terms of imagination!

Hell, Set up a competition for ideas to be used in the game.

....and ....there is the little mention of the spawn rate of the G3, Stalker and the Harvester. HAHA they DO NOT spawn for me dispite all the hundreds of missions I have ploughed through. Is this broken or a bug or what?

Up to this point I have really enjoyed this game. But lately things are getting very, very stale. I have nothing left to do in the game!! I WANT MOARRR!!!!

I will wait until U13. If things do not improve then it'll be time to move on I'm afraid.

...Rant over :)

I have over 900 hours in this game. I like to mod an Ash with auto parry, reflection, and go to the lower levels and giggle as grineer kill themselves with my reflected bullets.

I like to throw heavy impact on my Valkyr, ripline the ceiling, and then slam down my Jat Kittag sending bodies flying everywhere.

I like to cast Radial Blind with excalibur, pop two guys with my tigris, and then throw my glaive through the third guy, catch it, cast RB again, and repeat.

I like to go through the hardest missions in stealh mode, trying my best to get through it killing every enemy without an alarm going off, while having zero mods equipped so that I die in one shot if I'm discovered.

I like to wallrun, jump, spin blade into a Lancer with my Dakra, fire an Ogris into a crowd and then run back up the wall, flip off, and fire another Ogris shot in mid air.

I like to equip my Loki and a Vectis with max duration, go invisible on the open corpus tilesets and snipe for my team during survival.

I have over 900 hours in this game and I'm still finding creative and fun ways to play. DE has worked tirelessly to put out new tilesets, new enemies, new sounds, new designs, new weapons, new mods, new events, new game modes, and still people want more more more more out of the best F2P game there is. Stop looking for "new things" and start PLAYING THE GAME! There are so many different ways to have fun that you don't necessarily need difficulty or "new things" for satisfaction. Start using your imagination and come up with cool ways to play your frame. Switch up your mods, get some different weapons and stop minmaxing to play the hardest levels. The possibilities are endless.

And if you've still done all these things and you're tired of the game, take a break man. It's not the game, it's you; you're human, and you'll get tired of anything and everything regardless of the depth, it's in our nature. Those people that left in your clan will be back with the new updates. You can't play one game forever, eventually you'll get tired of it. It's up to you and your creativity to keep you interested, not the Devs putting out shiny things to appease your boredom.

I see a lot of people with complaints like yours. Some are understandable since they're from people who have over a thousand hours of playtime - yours seems like you have a very entitled mindset, but I still don't agree with their points to an extent, especially yours.

This game has some of the most enticing features and people like you just ignore it since it's a rather small game. If you'd like to go play mainstream games like everyone else, by all means go do it. Just don't make posts here that you're leaving and give the community a dumb reason for leaving. We don't care.

Harder enemies? The current difficulty scaling in Warframe is a textbook example of artificial difficulty. Grinding better gear to kill stronger enemies is not and has never been difficult. It's boring and repetitive. It's a treadmill.

Difficulty is presenting the player with and increasing number of challenge factors he has a chance of avoiding, through fighting, movement or any other way. Actual difficulty is created by enemy behaviour and environmental hazards(void lasers, etc.).

What are these "enticing features?"

Giving each planet a little story as if each one were an episode would go a long way in making this game more immersive to play. There seems to have been plans for this in the past, according to strings in the game files. Not sure what happened to that. Maybe someone higher up at DE demanded the game needed to turn out big profits so they abandoned the idea?

You can't deny that WF's content is barren. Sure, there are numerous loadouts and setups to experiment with like RuFi0 noted, but there's no point in doing so, and it's not all that satisfying (to me) because the enemies aren't very responsive. Besides, while that kind of room for experimentation is great for a game's sustainability, the game needs to also offer a baseline for players to fulfill, something that gives that experiment meaning rather than "this game is too easy/boring, time to figure out ways to break it." Making each mission fit into a larger narrative would help fill in that missing texture.

Then again, given that DE made Dark Sector, and that this game essentially became Dark Sector, I'm not counting on much in the way of variety and meaningful progression.

I'd like more enemy types, especially for infested scine thats where DE can go really crazy with their imagination

I was expecting the Hyena packs to actually be a miniboss in corpus tiles but they didnt do that

And i agree with the artificial difficulty, more dangers than buffed ennemies would be cool,im one of the persons that always asked about giving our ninja acrobatics a better purpose by adding traps and environnement parkour (theres is not enough of this)

I hope they are going to do a Movement 2.0 soon

They are already giving each planet a unique look so that a +1 for them, really good especially for the Grineer tilesets who lets be honest, they are kinda meh

Lets see how Melee 2.0 is going to turn out,i hope for the best because of all the hype around it even if im scared for the same reason

After 600 hours? I wonder, have you ever played any other game for 600 hours?

I've got a similar amount of time myself, and I enjoy the gameplay, not ascending some infinite ladder towards the heavens. Voids seem to be serving their purpose well in providing those sort of end-game dungeons that every other MMORPG relies upon once you've reached a level cap.

*snip*

First of all, the whole concept of Warframe is attractive to me. You got these space ninjas who wreck S#&$, then on top of that you have a huge library of customization.

Then there's the visuals. For a free to play game, this is among the best looking (if you can run it at Ultra on PC anyways) games. Texture resolution isn't as important to me (it's somwhat important), but the visual style is. Warframe nails the whole future space theme.

And nowhere in my post did I deny the content being barren. In fact I even iterated what you said - the game is very small. But there's a crap-ton of customization to keep things interesting on the player's side. The only other game that had choices on loadouts, colors and whatnot was Blacklight: Retribution. I'm not much of an FPS player anymore, I prefer the Warframe style with melee also being an option and it not always being pewpewpew (especially with U13 coming).

They have said time and time again in the livestreams that they're working on more real content, so it seems to me like people just forget that, or they don't watch the livestreams.

Lastly, I don't understand how people expect so much out of DE with Warframe. Warframe is a fairly low-budget game. They don't have a publisher throwing money at them (which is both a good thing and a bad thing).

Apperantly the Harvester,Stalker and G3 spawn if you have low level items you are currently using if you have played with maxed gear all this time then this is why the Stalker G3 and Harvester never came for you :(

I have no low lvl stuff anymore, and even when i formad my stuff and it was low again there was no increase in the rate of harvester/stalker/G3

I'm willing to believe it. I was leveling a Lv26 Valkyr with a Lv15 Sobek, a Lv14 Gremlins, and a Lv10 Dakra on Kappa and Harvey attacked us (me specifically) while we were running to the Defense area. Hadn't seen him in two months before then.

That's true. And I do like the concept as well, even if it's basically Westernized Sentai Rangers. Perhaps that's why it's so appealing (and why this game seems to have a sizable Japanese playerbase, hmm).

As for expecting so much out of WF, it's mostly because the game's concept promises so much... yet delivers half-assedly on just about everything. This includes solar map progression. I went to go look up a review of Dark Sector after I made that post and it's actually a little disturbing how easily you could substitute "Warframe" for "Dark Sector" and the article would still make just as much sense:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/dark-sector-review

And this pretty much sums up the Dark Sector experience. Everything seems designed for the initial impression, with little attention given to anything below the surface. The graphics look lovely at first, but soon lose their lustre as you realise what a rigid, fake world they represent.

I'm sad to admit that this is exactly how I feel about WF :/

Hmm, well just wait.  I think you'll be pleased with the update.

What with a whole new melee system, new lobby system, EVE online style metagame and multiplayer, and interclan conflict from that.  Oh, and Vor's prize.

If there is one thing I personally detest, is someone saying devs need to add things that they already said they will be added. That and saying they will "move on" if devs don't add it immediately.

You know the game is under development. You know this stuff is going to be corrected. If you want to play when that stuff is added, just bloody wait? You don't have to play until the things you want are added. So just take a break. Nothing wrong with telling DE when they need or what you'll like to see, that's feedback. But gallivanting around saying "Why isn't this here now! Better be in next update or else I'm out PIECE!" especially since you know what is more or less in the next update has no point in the slightest.

Jesus Christ i just got groundslammed by boredom, just from reading your post... dude... New Tilesets... New weapons... New Warframes... That means nothing... At least to me.. They should stop releasing all that S#&$ out, and maybe release something worth... I play this in a long time... and i given up any hope on this game... at first it seemed promising but let me tell you, Warframe is doomed... The devs are as Illuded as you my sir, releasing weapons and equipment over and over again, expecting people to have fun in warframe as they had in farmville... I had a bad feeling... I see why now... Devs are building warframe way too inside the box... it's ridiculous... I'm sorry to say but i don't care im leaving Warframe for good, Devs pls, grow up.

Judging by the time you've been with the game and the number of hours you say you've logged this is a part time job for you.

You need to diversify.

The content in this game isn't dynamic enough to warrant a 15-20 hour a week commitment. Frankly, most online games content isn't that dynamic with exception given to MMORPG's.

That doesn't make the game bad... It means that it isn't suited to your gameplay habits or expectations.

If relevant or interesting content is devoured in your case, the wisest thing to do would be to take a break.

I don't play warframe in "long" periods of time, the other dude was the one that said that he had 900 hours of it... And the thing is i like the concept of warframe i just don't like the attitude the devs have realeasing tons of useless weapons, when they could already release some lore... no... what happens to the lore is that it stays in the forums... being spoken by players... but the devs don't take advantage of it... they just release weapons over and over again... is like feeding candy to children to make them shut the hell up... it may work from time to time, but it won't work after 1 year

Especially considering at some point all they'll be doing is rehashing the same weapon, just with a different default elemental type.

DE has a lot coming down the pipe, but they also seem reluctant to go back over what needs fixes or adjusted to fit in, especially for the long term.  This power scaling non-sense isn't good for the long term, especially as they release new tile sets.  Earth is entirely forest, and 5 different mission types: exterminate, sabotage, survival, capture, and interception.  And mind, the exterminates are kind of weak at ~30 guys per run.  This should really be amped up to an average of 70 at least for those of us that actually like the brief simplicity of exterminate missions (I like to shoot things without a little counter or coffin to watch, what can I say?)  the bigger crime here however is that they're always 5-11 in level if I recall.  The OP is on to something with a difficulty slider.  Being able to select the enemy level for a mission would be a huge boon to the game for everyone playing in my opinion.  Alerts and the void can maintain a set level range, but everyday missions shouldn't need to.  This isn't going to save the game, but it will make it better.

For the betterment of the game overall... I could write a novella on what I think needs to be done, though I admit a lot of what I think needs to be done could be viewed as fundamental changes to the way the game works, and that's one hell of a tight rope.

If you can't even get through a few paragraphs without getting bored, I can understand why you're the same with Warframe. Someone with a short attention span wants longevity out of a free to play game.

And that's the point: It's free-to-play. Why do you think they're selling hoodies in the first place? Because people like you expect everything and more given to them for absolutly no cost. You sit there and ridicule the devs about a free to play game that's still in beta and then say you're leaving forever as if that's constructive at all. I think you're the one that needs to grow up; you're acting like the rest of the self-entitled people that expect everything but give nothing.

Edit: The devs will work on story and lore, and they will have more depth, but for now, releasing content is a way of INCOME. And they need that first and foremost.
