Stalker And Melee 2.0

Hi

I know im jumping right into it but i really want this to happen. DE, if it isnt in Melee 2.0, Please make Stalker Duel-able in the future.

Meaning he shouldnt one shot and we should be able to exchange blows without dying instantly.

There was a game called Dynasty Warriors 4. The officers sometimes challanged us in duels, it wasnt so uberlike good but idea would fit imo. It should be like No Powers, just melee weapons.

I want something to be done about Stalker, I agree he needed a buff but now he's one shotting you (and somehow he only appears when you start leveling up things like lato for gods sake) and not appearing frequently. There was a guy who got ganked by Stalker and he was ganking him because of Golem and as you know its not even in game.

Im not sure if this is the right place to open this thead but i wanted everyone to see it.

I know everyone is expecting alot from Melee 2.0 but i just wanted to say this. I like you guys at DE anyway. Have a nice day!

Here's a quick idea for refining the stalker for melee 2.0

1. Stalker taunt appears

2. Targeted player has the option to hold X (or whatever you've bound it to) to kneel and initiate a duel or ignore the stalker and continue.

3. If player did not kneel the stalker appears and the fight proceeds as usual

4. If player chooses to kneel the stalker is caught slightly off-guard at seeing tenno willing to fight fairly (he knows us as those guys that wiped out his people so it's understandable) and appears kneeling in his usual puff of smoke opposite his target.

5. Stalker and his target are immune to outside damage and buffs. One on one melee fight to the death. Perhaps an effect similar to bastille could appear as an arena of sorts and leaving it causes the stalker to instantly blink onto you, killing you instantly (like bladestorm) for trying to run like a coward.

The ability to replay events (mastery tests, lore events) may add the ability to go into a training room (similar to the mastery tests) where you can choose which opponent to fight and how many of them. You wouldnt get anything in return for completion but it would be awesome!

Just a little idea.

Problem is, it's balanced for squads. One person duels with Stalker while 3 others open up with Primary weapons = exploit.

Well i gave that example about Dynasty warriors 4.

In DW4 duels, only you and the opponent officer is facing each other, basically it would be like honoring the duel concept between tenno.

Rest would watch, maybe rest of the AI stops and watch the tenno in fear etc etc.

There are tons of way to make it awesome, mines is just another idea.

Yeah, with the G3 and Harvester being the "surprise mothafokka" kind the Stalker seemed to me to be the honourable kind. Consider his choice of weapons and the way he kneels before appearing and disappearing.

It would be cool if the stalker isolated the player he was stalking into a virtual flat room (mastery test rooms) which would also eliminate the possiblity for the player to "lame" him. (stand ontop of box trolololol.) In this room you cannot use any abilities and only melee is available. Would be cool IMO.

Yeah, I always carry my Galatine lvl 30 charge build. If it wasn't for the one shot arrow(He always comes after me when i'm alone, and leveling new frames.) I could actually beat him.

Speaking of that. Is it me? Or do others always catch him alone, while leveling new frames with no shields. I can understand that his buffed for squads, but its insane to have him show up during a solo survival mission, one shot with an arrow, and leave.

Which hes level would be based, and averaged on the group is is fighting. Like.... Through the Conclave number.

Base the Stalkers difficulty on the Overall all group Conclave number.

So if theres only one person, he can be soloed by new players that have ATLEAST chance to win.
