(PSN)Daikon177
Its really kind of a small thing but I mean why not? Who wouldnt wanna jump off of something high and BOOM! Idk makes sense to me. Not to mention how much that would help when your getting swarmed by infested and theres so many your literally standing on them and cant activate stomp because your technically in the air which makes me want to throw my controller through the wall, that may just be me :/

(PSN)Bobtm0
Just walk up to a ledge, really, really close and whatnot. I'm talking barely still standing on the ledge close to the edge ledge close here. Then stomp and smile that you accomplished your task.

(PSN)Daikon177
I don't. I honestly don't. The title says what I asked. Why cant you activate it in the air, like a melee jump attack, and when you hit the ground it activates it. Not stomping the air I didnt think anyone would assume I was a retard. Orbister
you need a solid surface to stomp, i think the floor might be perfect. (a scientist told me)

Not stomping the air I didnt think anyone would assume I was a retard. You said "Why can't we activate Stomp in the air" This implies that you want to Stomp in the air. Literally everyone read it this way, maybe check your wording.
Armouredhunter
There are all kinds on the Internet. It's better safe then sorry. Also in your OP you weren't very clear on that as to lead to this assumption. All you were referring to is your frustration towards standing on an enemy and not stomping to which I ask how do you prepose to fix that? (PSN)Bobtm0
All jokes aside I figure the answer is somewhat obvious here; It's a combination of design intent as well as balancing. As a general rule of thumb, more mobility-focused frames can activate all of their abilities in the air, while less mobility-focused frames don't have that luxury. However design intent overrides this in some cases (example being Ash's smokescreen). Rhino is far from mobility focused so rather than being annoyed that you cannot activate Stomp while airborne, just be happy that you can use his other three moves whilst in the wild blue yonder. Orbister
My Zephyr stomps in the air : D, well she takes momentum in air and stomps in ground, but still. i bet u jelly rhino.
HalotroopermanX7
It... would be overpowered? (just imagine players being able to stomp in the air, high level stuff, and while they were doing that, they didn't have iron skin on, soo... if you couldn't stomp in the air, and didn't have iron skin on, you would probably die.) [i don't even know what I'm saying.]

I actually love zephyr, and actually her dive bomb ability is a perfect example of what im talking about you activate it in the air and it does damage on impact

No. I was just smart enough to put two and two together and not think OP wanted to be able to stomp the air. I've seen skills like it in other games, so it made sense. Quovander
Unlike most people here, I understand what you're talking about. You want to activate it while you're in the air so that once you hit the ground, the Rhino stomp takes effect. Personally, I think it's a trifle. You can just do a melee smash attack then activate it for similar effect.
