PvtToma
Well, I tend to die(a ton) there around the 40 minutes mark. Are there anyway to like, not get destroyed by the grineers? I normally use Nekros there, but perhaps the team needs a Trinity or something?
Taikaponi
Trinity, Zephyr and Valkyr are great because it's really hard to die when playing with them. Even thought Rhino has Iron Skin, most noobs tend to die regardless. Edited March 31, 2014 by Taikaponi
Apochron
Once your team has a Trinity for healing and Nekros for oxygen, the other two teammates need a means of disabling the Grineer. That means Nyx's Chaos, Loki's Disarm, Nova's Prime, or Vauban's everything. If you're soloing, you should be able to facetank everything with Blessing Trinity or avoid all damage with Invisible Loki/Ash.

Unfortunatelly iron skin is destroyed even while blessing is active, so noob or not it's not very useful in a team with trinity.Even so I think the best team for general survival is: trinity with a blessing build obviously; nova with a antimatter drop and molecular prime to deal maximum damage; rhino with roar and stomp for even more damage and easy revives; nekros with a pure desecration build (poor guy). Although I've always wanted to try and see if camping a dead-end corridor with vauban, nekros, trinity and rhino would work better on the long run. If the enemies try to get in fast enough and the players can keep the kills flowing then it should be better than chasing the enemies in a big room. Another thing I've always wondered is if the corpses sucked up by vortex really disappear and can't be desecrated. SirSadlygrove
Best strategy I found works best for us ( our clan ) is to find a dead-end hallway like the poster above me said. However our team composition is different. We'd use Trinity, Vauban, Nekros and a last frame which has a damage buff such as Nova usually ( antimatter-drop is amazing when used correctly aswell ). Then we find the dead-end hallway, gear up on energy and let the Vauban Vortex the entrance so all the mobs get piled up and have an ogris or Penta guy shoot the mobs while Nekros spams Consecrate. The Trinity is there for emergency situations to bless-spam and rez teammates. The Trinity would also be speed-build so she could run to the pods incase we got unlucky with the Nekros spam. Reason for her being a runner is because the others are more important at keeping the enemies near and killing them for more life support and Trinity can control the Blessing invincibility herself and cast it before activating the pod to make sure she lives all the way through the activation animation. We usually get to 1 hour 40 mins before the game becomes unplayable because of the horrible netcode this game has. Doors start not opening, enemies will be frozen into place and when killed stay in place for another 10 seconds, etc . . . In short : this strategy works best for us, but other strategies might work better with other people. See what suits your playstyle and choose according to that. CubedOobleck
-snip-so does desecrate work on the corpses sucked up by vortex?
PvtToma
On that note, about the runner thing, apparently Dual Zoren's slide attack gives you a speed boost. Pretty cool, but not sure if it'll work for Melee 2.0. So won't it be better if everyone on the team had this?
Motakshi
They do provide a speed boost, and to top it off they procc slash a lot and end up cutting enemies in half, which makes their corpse actually count for two instead of 1 for extra loot. Kinda helpful if you (or even your whole team) bring slash weaponry, though you may lose killing power because of the odd weapon choices for slash damage. PvtToma
My Nekros uses Energy Siphon but my weapon of choice is usually the Ogris for tons of damage. Don't have maxed Shields and Health though, so that's one thing that contributes to my death I guess. @cubed I think they do work, not that I tried or anything. (I conclude this cause the Wiki doesn't say anything about it, so I assume that it's against this idea.)
Darzk
Trin, Nekros, Loki and Vauban imo. Makes enemies really easy to gather up and nuke. RDisarm and Vortex is incredibly overpowered imo. Don't even really need the Trin but makes it a bit easier to deal with shots from extreme range or if teammates get too far from the Loki. Desecrate does work on corpses in Vortex, but they despawn a bit sooner. Not nearly as short as the MP exploded corpses disappear tho! I dislike Nyx, Excal, Nova etc because while they might make you safer, they slow down kill rates considerably as enemies spread out all over. Methanoid
so does desecrate work on the corpses sucked up by vortex? yup
Sh1n3y
Probably the 'cut and dry' or 'most typical' answer would be Trinity, Nova, and Nekros, with the 4th being kind of up to you (Rhino, Valkyr, Loki, Nyx, Vauban, etc.). There are some other fun combinations, but it takes a bit of creativity and MAY not yield the best, longest, or most survivable results. i.e. Loki (radial disarm) with Nyx (Absorb) and/or Vauban.
