AcholSucks Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 i was hoping if you guys can bring back the whole freezing delay after casting then the explosion after a certain period :T since the current avalanche is non other better but the same as the old one but just a minor visual improvement :T
Grulos Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I don't understand either why this feature was called a bug and then being removed.
Hyunsai Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Because some players complained about it, failing to see how the 5 second stun + damage was better than damage alone. Yeah, you heard it right.
gianutn Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 It would be good if the freezing effect for several seconds is restored, but damage should be applied before the freeze phase, so you know which enemies will survive the Avalanche, and other frames does not waste their energy killing mobs that will die anyway.
Grulos Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Because some players complained about it, failing to see how the 5 second stun + damage was better than damage alone. Yeah, you heard it right. Wow, just.... wow Does everyone wants damage instead of utility?
VentiGlondi Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 I don't understand either why this feature was called a bug and then being removed. It was removed because range mods shouldn't affect duration.
00zau Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 It was removed because range mods shouldn't affect duration. They should have fixed the range bug, and then given it an equivalent duration to what it had at max range before. As it is, it's a lackluster radial damage ult which half the frames in the game have, and with a poor damage type to boot.
Grulos Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 It was removed because range mods shouldn't affect duration. Great reason. "Uhhh, I've got a flat tire, better trash my car and buy rollerskates."
HAYABU5A Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 +1 x billions im still waiting for this to be restored can not use frost until avalanche has freeze duration again, it matched his attributes and theme perfectly, until then he collects dust
AcholSucks Posted April 3, 2014 Author Posted April 3, 2014 welp too bad DE didnt see this thread eh :T
RealPandemonium Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 The damage is 50% stronger now than it was. Annoyed by the removal of the stun? Saryn has a stun on her 4 and it does 4 times the damage old Avalanche did.
HAYABU5A Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 DE please do not forget about this, avalanches freeze duration many people cant play frost until this is fixed as they built him around it, choosing instead not to use snowglobe its still a ongoing issue its just most arnt saying anything because they have given up completely on frost
Vargras Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 I don't understand either why this feature was called a bug and then being removed. Because it actually was a bug and not a feature. It didn't work like that before the patch that caused it, and there was nothing in the notes about it, thus it's not intended. Same reason Oberon's Renewal auto-reviving was fixed. Because it was a bug and not intended.

Because it was a bug and not intended. Avalanche worked like that forever, you can even find very old youtube videos. and its the only thing that made his ult viable past mid-levels and saving skill since Globe nerf Oberon bug was removed because half of the time he would get stuck in half-dead state unable to use his wapons or even turn the camera. Btw Oberon is very weak and needs buffs all around too.
