Getting Marked But No Mail

Is anyone else having this problem? I get marked but I never know when I do. So to make sure I'm marked I do the invasions few extra times to be sure. My inbox is empty and yes they do pop up from time to time. But a little heads up from a message would be great. Then I don't have to do those extra missions. What would be great is when you are marked a colored symbol would pop up next to your name, above the mastery bar. So red-grineer, dark/light blue corpus and black for stalker. You can hover over them to see what faction they're from too.

To my understanding, you only get mail when you already have no marks and then get marked.   If you have a mark and then do missions to get marked again, you won't receive mail.

 

Also marks are suppose to clear when you kill or are killed by the assassin's, but only if they are coming after you.   So if your in a team and G3/Stalker/Harvester comes, just because you kill them doesn't mean it will clear your mark.   I know for a fact that if stalker comes for someone else, killing him will not clear your mark, it will clear that other players mark.   

 

The reason I say this is basically based on logic.   I keep track of who I kill and what missions I do.  So I know who I got a mark from, when and how many.   So on more than a few occassions I had a single stalker mark and while in a team, stalker comes and we kill him.   Then I go off and solo the very next mission and stalker comes for me again.   Since marks supposed to clear after you kill or are killed by stalker, I shouldn't have had him come twice and killed him twice in back-to-back missions.   So this tells me that whether you kill him or not, your marks aren't cleared unless you were the original target of stalker.   Harvester and G3 have the same mechanics to my understanding and the only difference is how you get marked....stalker by killing bosses, harvester from getting battle pay from grineer (shows you supported the Grineer) and G3 from getting battle pay from corpus (shows you supported the corpus).

 

The only problem with G3 and Harvester when they come is they never tell you who they are after like stalker does.  With stalker, he only messages the person that he's coming for, the rest of the team just see lights flickering.   With Harvester, I don't think anyone recieves messages until after harvester has spawned.  The whole team gets taunts from Alad V at the point to my knowledge.   With G3, the whole team recieves message from lotus telling you to run before they spawn.    So again, nobody knows who harvester or G3 are coming for.   So you can never be sure your mark is cleared when you kill them or die to them.

 

So what I'm saying is just because you were on a team that killed an assassin, doesn't mean your marks are cleared (because the assassin may have not come for you)...and if they aren't cleared, then you won't ever recieve a new email telling you that you're marked.

I guess i should of also added I've been soloing for the past month or so trying to complete the solar map. Rarely I find myself in a team anymore ever since I was able to get better mods for my Loki.
