Annoying Prime Gold Trim

Question

Looks mean a lot to me. If I'm going to be a space-ninja, going around murdering all sorts of bosses and factions to protect balance in the system, I want to look good doing it. Thing is, I also like my Prime Weapons.

A while ago I got the Braton Prime. And I love the thing. I'm 90% positive it's terribly modded, and it's definitely not at a place where it could be (I haven't even forma'd it), but I still love it a lot. It's a good weapon, and has one of the coolest Prime Models in-game (with these latest Primes, I feel like DE made a mistake about not making the weapons more intricate, but that's just me opinion), with all the lights, and gold, and general shiny.

But there comes a problem when I want to look good AND use my Prime weapons, and I'm sure that it's been said before and this is just another thread about the same topic that's been mentioned over, and over, and over: I can't find a color scheme that looks good with that gold trim, because there's not a lot of gold colors, and if there is, it's either too dark or too bright. There's no happy medium. :(

So far I can only get a good-looking setup if 99% of my Frame is white/black, with such a subtle hint of yellow/orange that it looks like gold. (I'm not on the game right now, but when I get on I'll provide a screenshot of what I'm talking about)

List of color packs I have:

-Basic (Full)

-Basic Saturated

-Fire

-Ice

-Shamrock

(More? I know I bought the Alpha pack, but I'm not remembering what's in the Alpha pack)

Energy is also a problem. I use the Asa Syandana, because it's pretty good looking in my opinion. But again, there's no gold! I'm willing to trade it out for the Yomo Syandana (the only other one I have). Basically the same problem with different items. So the color needs to also look good in energy. If all else fails, I can just wear the Yomo.

To give you an idea of how much I like looking awesome, let me tell you that just so I could use my Braton Prime and not have to look weird, I got Frost Prime. One of the only reasons, no lie. The others being that I didn't 100% hate Frost (although being a tanky support frame felt weird. I need to work it out), and I needed the Mastery anyways.

If you could tell me what you use (hopefully from the color packs above), and maybe even provide a screenshot, that'd be appreciated! :D

I think I've seen some of the lower middle basic saturated used to simulate that pale goldish effects of primes. Below the greens, above the pure oranges. In the sandy/beige areas.
I'd check there for matching colours for any nonprime gear you own.

As far as colour schemes with primes go I find using a combination blues and blacks work nicely.
Try the upper right most blue of Shamrock or the upper left most blue of Basic/Basic Saturated.  Maybe the upper line of blues in saturated in general.

Ices blues tend to look very sickly and green and don't appeal to me in general so I wouldn't know if any of them look good.

It was stated multiple times, that golden trim is the integral part of Prime gear. It's supposed to be ornamental and have lots of bling. And it's not a subject to change.

if you read, you'd have known he isn't looking to replace or remove the gold trims on the weapons / frames he has (in fact, he loves them), but is looking for a proper colour to go with it, as in: a gold-looking colour which has the same tint as the prime weapon / frame gold

The great part about the gold trim is that it doesn't really matter what you use. Personally, I always used muted colors with a splash of red. Looking awesome is a pretty subjective topic, but generally speaking you can use the same color scheme you use on any other frame alongside gold trim. There are a few colors that get close, but there will never be a gold color for use on frames and weapons. Instead, its just about using whatever opposing scheme that matches well.

If you like looking awesome, use your preferred colors, the gold will always be an accent/trim.

Sorry, I smelled a whine and slapped an automatic response.

Sorry, I smelled a whine and slapped an automatic response.

It's ok. I do the same thing very often.

To all others, my main color scheme is (again, screenshot will be posted when I can...), in this order top to bottom:

-White

-Dark Grey (Basic color scheme, one to the right of the bottom leftmost one)

-Black (Rather a darker grey. Bottom leftmost again on Basic)

-Teal Blue(?) I guess you could call it (Brightest blue in the Ice pack, rightmost column, around the middle area)

-Teal Blue again for Energy

It looks pretty good on most frames, especially Oberon, Rhino, and Nekros. But if I try to replace the blue with a gold-ish type color, it comes out funny. :(

I find all the gold rather unpleasant too. Most of my frames, including primes, use a grey/black or tan/black colour scheme to keep them as understated as possible. I keep them fairly unsaturated. My favorite Tans are in the Storm pack and although I have the Smoke pack, my favorite grays are in the default pack.
