Placeholder name Anima.Went back to the drawing-board since the last idea back-fired on me, but I didn't give up on it, so I re-used some of it for this one. It's a semi-infested warframe, created as a proto-type to infiltrate and abduct Tenno for the infested. Mid-ways through the process, as the wearer went on a rampage in a desperate bid to escape, ending up in a pod that crash-landed on a desolate planet, leaving a terrible mess behind.The organisms in the warframe underwent a mutation to ensure its, and thus the host/wearers life, and became more symbiotic, and subservient to him, rendering the 'frame and its abilities free to control and utilize. When the frame is taken off, the organism goes into a hibernation state, to conserve itself. It isn't sentient anymore, merely an organic computer, pretty much.Ability 1: Brain Bugs; Spits an acidic bile, contaminated with tiny parasites, in a cone, which will infect the afflicted targets +jumping to new uninfected targets nearby, making them attack eachother over any Tenno, while dealing fire damage as a dot.'MC' last for 3/5/7/10 seconds. Fire damage would be percentage, with a static cap on bosses to avoid abuse.Visual: Chest expands slightly, bottom jaws split appart, crystalized blood spikes evaporate (reforms afterwards) goo.Ability 2: Possession/Matter Absorb; Possess a non-flying/boss unit on first use, and take control over its movement. Unable to fire weapons while possessing unit, and Anima will take residence inside the unit, leaving nothing vulnerable behind. Possession will cost 5% of (Animas) maximum health (will not affect shield) every second, until second use of ability, were the possessed unit will explode, dealing heavy damage in a radius (TBD), and restoring 20% of Animas maximum HP if below 30% when Possession is terminated by choice. Possession will end automatically when Anima reaches 1% HP (drain effect will not kill), but not restore HP, and the possessed unit will be fully regenerated, and dazed for 1 second.Visual: Turn to liquid and envelop the target, then disappear into it while it's dazed for a short period, making the mob friendly to ally. On explode, the exploding liquid reforms back to the 'frame. Possessed unit is also bigger, and 'smoking'.Ability 3: Living Blood Aegis; Health cost 20% doesn't affect shield 'hp'); Coats yourself and allies within x(TBD) range in a protective layer of potent blood, reducing all incoming damage by 90% for 4/6//8/10 seconds. 45 sec. CD. (Extention mods on't work/will only work 50%?) To make it less OP.Visual: Particle eruption from 'frame+blood splatter to indicate the self-damage and effect.Ability 4: Metamorphosis; Allows full symbiosis between 'frame and wearer, temporarily consuming all weapons, granting the primary weapon and melee weapon with doubled base power (that means mods won't be affected, and any +damage mods will only work for the original base-power), applying (other) effects normally. Secondary weapon will not be usable. Melee weapon will also get increased range if it's above a certain speed threshold and multi-strike if it can't already, and reduces charge time for everything below attack speed threshold by 80%. Effect lasts 5/8/11/15 seconds. Costs 100 energy, and cost cannot be reduced. Weapons will appear in the form of large arm blades, and 'gunfire' will manifest as shooting small/large energy orbs from palms depending on how fast the weapon fire rate is. Jump/melee attack combo will produce a large aoe knockdown with strong damage near the center, decreasing outwards.Visual: 'frame grows larger, parts will split and deform (will make a concept art for this state when the base concept is done and refined!), the 2 coat flaps on the back will expand to form 'wings', arms will form blades, legs will become digitrade, longer claws/horns, jaws will be open and it'll have a long, pointed whip-like tongue (and occasionally use it for melee attacks), it'll 'ooze' energy to make it look like it's burning on the inside.As a footnote; I'm just a humble artist, numbers and alike aren't my strong suit. Any criticism is welcome, when you actually take the time to say why, and how I could improve on it.I like this game, I love the designs, and only want to contribute with my own idea.So please reply constructively! :)Note; An idea after uploading would be having one arm look 'broken/infested' (I promise I'm not stealing from Typhus, nowhere near that good, PLEASE DO NOT COMPARE!!), please do post ideas for this!---------------------------------------------All of this is subject to slight change, so try to be polite. Posted March 31, 2014 Share Posted March 31, 2014 (edited) I'm not the greatest on thinking of abilities or ways to balance them, but I really doubt the name 'suicide runner' would pass through; more of something along the name of 'chargers'. The aesthetic of the frame looks quite regal, because of the high collared long coat; the appearance recounts an ancient humanoid-dragon much more than an infested creature. Overall, very sleek/cool looking, but maybe not the most infested look. As far as abilities however, I don't see a cohesive gameplay theme. You mentioned he was designed to capture Tenno, yet none of his powers are tied into immobilization or single target subdual/damage/debuffs. We could really use a great debuffing frame, and the infested concept would be a great lore tie in with that. Currently he seems like a very powerful generalist. You have a mini chaos CC, a multi-target seeking AoE, a really OP shield, and then an ultimate range+melee mode. What is the gameplay theme of this character? His shield would be the most powerful and flexible protection in the game, delivering nearly 30 seconds of near invulnerability when modded. That, along with a low cost AoE CC that spreads are both far too powerful if you intend him as a generalist. Not to mention a double damage self buff with no real downsides - either range or melee should suffer hard for such a buff. Overall, I think you should give a bit more thought to what this frame's purpose is, and make him great at that, and not so great at other things. Given that information, I'd probably say the lore could probably be refined/changed...I can't see the infested making a vampirc/demonic frame before a shapeshifying terrifying frame.
