BlackHole777
So I was running kappa on sedna for oxium and I am quite confused with the community I ran into So it's a mobile defense vs corpus and I'll usually just play volt and press 4 and run around and kill everything (400+ kills per round) and apparently I was "spawn blocking" I am quite curious as to what this is and if it really exists, would the amount of corpus change depending on my location because I seemed to have upset a couple people and I try to be funny by saying things like "I'm not here for oxium I just want to farm the ammo drum mod" I don't know people have been getting angry lately, am I a terrible person? what do I do warframe, help pls
tveeggad
You are more or less what people call a hallway hero. That means, you ran far away from the rest of your group and ran towards the source of enemies, thereby they stop spawning over there. That means less spawns. Besides, if you're far away fro your group, they won't get any shared xp from the kills you gain.
Aka_Miso
don't mind them your just doing what volts do, dominate corpus
marbatico
drops are on a timer, if you just run round the map killing everything people are afraid they will miss a valuable (oxium) drop. the general idea is that everybody stays in the same room untill the timer runs out. LoopStricken
Running around to their spawn points messes things up. Just sit at the objective and wait for them to come to you like a good Tenno.

-InV-Skitz0
Yes spawn blocking is indeed real, If the rest of your team is protecting the data terminal, and you run out side of the room and kill evreything then your entire team is getting 0% of the exp for your kills because you are out of range. DaftMeat
http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Experience_Mechanics Whenever any member of the team kills an enemy, that member's teammates will still gain full experience from that kill. This experience is divided equally among their Warframe and weapons. Some examples to illustrate how this works: Suppose Player A kills an enemy with his Warframe ability, and the enemy was worth 500 experience. His Warframe will receive the full 500 experience, while his weapons receive none. His teammates will receive 500 experience each: 125 to their Warframe, 125 to their Primary, 125 to their Secondary and 125 to their Melee. Suppose Player A kills an enemy with his Secondary, and the enemy was worth 1000 experience. His Warframe and Secondary will receive 500 experience each. His teammates, Players B, C and D, will also receive 1000 experience each: 250 to their Warframe, 250 to their Primary, 250 to their Secondary and 250 to their Melee. Players must be in a certain radius of the kill to receive experience from it (range undetermined for the moment). Basically, if you're too far away, the affinity rewards arent shared. Also, other squadmates can miss out on a lot of loot if they don't know it's there.
tveeggad
see but that's the thing I kill everything by the pod too I can only recommend staying close to the mentioned cryopod/terminal at all times. By doing so everyone will get the most possible XP, the most possible ammount of resources and the least ammount of whining possible.
BBYipho
I take it they want spawns to be at the maximum instead of slowing down from a person charging the entrance the enemies pour out of. I'm not sure if it really is a thing but I normally tell my clan mates to follow the 2 room rule so enemies flood in more. Someone in the party should explain you should be fighting near the point. (Or at the top of the back stairs as long you don't get off the top step.)

(PSN)Pengu_Imperialus
alright thanks guys. I'll stay relatively closer and hopefully avoid any future conflicts. Some guys were getting on me about this in a survival the other day. No one had ever mentioned it before. We usually run to and fro drunk on space ninja destruction. Wanjibon
The people saying you get less resources, that's the opposite of what really happens. Usually on a decents kappa run I would get 30 oxium, 40 if I'm very lucky while everyone is close to the pod. The other day I was doing my last kappa run and I would have enough for zephyr. There was a rhino with max stomp range, I never saw any of my teammate while defending the pod and the pushed the spawns 3-4 rooms away, but I managed to get 60+ oxium and the rhino had 850ish kills. He said his best run was around 100 without any boosters, and I still got way more xp than usual even if I missed alot of it from them being far away. iNsaNitySOZ
I too tend to run around on my own mission (regardless of which frame I'm using) too. This thread actually makes me feel bad, I was not aware of the implications of separating from the group. This thread helped. I think the experienced Warframe community should take initiative or even responsibility to help and educate new players, because honestly most people don't know what the Vey Hek is going on in this game. I've been an active player, WIKI and forum user for about 2 months and I'm still discovering new stuff every day. It's a crazy big, well put together system we're using here - though quite confusing at times. I feel your pain bro, but you know how it is - if you learn the hard way then you learn the first time. Play like that if that's what you want, but don't expect me to stay in your group.

Noioiy
I used to do that "used to" until I read one of those Door Hero threads. Felt bad, stopped doing it. Didn't knew others don't get exp when I run around being Rambo. Hell, I even got tossed around like a ball by a booben for doing that :p

If you want to play "space ninja destruction" go play solo. If you refuse to be a team player, then don't play on a team. Ourobor
If you're in another room, enemies can't spawn there. And there are like a billion spawn points in kappa's md room. So if you go around from room to room, you block all of those spawn points from functioning which causes enemies to spawn in spawn points further away from both you and each other which means it takes longer to get to them and kill them because it takes longer for them to get to you. And if you do do this, you can go hunt them down, but you have to leave one guy by the pod because if you leave, enemies will spawn there and kill it. Which means that while you get to play "space ninja destruction", you're forcing someone to have to sit next to the cryopod and do nothing. And I've been that guy. Nothing spawns and you literally AFK for 3 minutes or whatever while you get no XP or drops because everyone is somewhere else. Don't be a door hero. When I farmed for zephyr, I got 25-30 oxium from groups that had doorheroes, and 30-40 from those that didn't.

Just playing devils advocate here but couldn't the question be asked why are you looking for a coordinated team in a PUG. You can't get angry just because people have a different play style that is not exp efficient lol. That sounds like expectations for a clan run, not Joe Pug...
