Grate Prime Sound Fx Bug/file Allocation Error?

At first I thought this was just a simple sound bug with Grate Prime, but after realizing the full extent of the bug, it sounds like a bigger error might be involved here. Posting in General Bugs to get more help.

It started with noticing that when dropped, instead of playing a metal-on-metal sound, Grate Prime will play what appears to be a overly theatrical scream. That would have made it just be a sound bug, if I hadn't noticed while looting lockers in the spawn room that MORE sounds were playing from Grate Prime's spawned location.

 

I've recorded a summary list of what it played here for me. It sounds like a sound file from a recording booth at DE that just didn't get turned off? Unless mentioned, silence fills the gap between time stamps, and keep in mind? This is all playing to me from Grate Prime's position in game:

 

 


0:00:01: Theatrical scream [plays during initial Grate Prime 'fall' to ground], followed by a snort and laugh, apology and request for another take.

 

0:00:32: Papers shuffling, door slamming, sound of a dog in the background. Associated French-Canadian chatter intermixed with English. Dog barking in background.

 

0:00:51: Comments and conversation about how nobody will notice if they use French-Canadian phrases for Corpus dialogue. Argument erupts.

 

0:02:05: Exaggerated and heated conversation in French-Canadian by a fourth party, associated apologies in English, increased dog barking in background.

 

0:03:01: Barking increases, becomes apparent that both parties are engaging with source of barking for advice on French-Canadian/Corpus dialogue issue. Many pauses where barking continues while all other voices are silent, engaging in dialogue with source of barking, only to pause and 'wait' for a 'reply' in barks.

 

0:08:22: Muffled agreement, barks and whines, comments about belly rubs not being in the budget for this fiscal year, more barking.

 

0:11:25: Heated argument about lunch, voices and barks fade in distance.

 

0:11:27: Door closing sound. Various street side sounds, cars, wind.

 

0:12:23: Door opening sound. Muffled shuffling.

 

0:12:35: Sipping sound can be heard, low, fluid being drawn in short gulps?

 

0:12:44: Sipping sound increases in intensity and proximity to microphone.

 

0:13:35: Sipping sound reaches levels where headphones must be removed, speakers turned down.

 

0:13:58: Sound card cuts out, computer blue screens.

 

My computer isn't that great, but I can swear there was actually more sound playing with that sipping sound stopping and other sounds playing as well.

 

If anyone has managed to find this bug as well with Grate Prime and remember any additional sound bugs, please post summary of sounds below with an approximate time stamp. 

 

The more info we can give DE on this, the faster it'll get fixed, guys. It seems like they might have just misplaced a sound file in the game engine.

 You need to go to Settings -> Sounds -> General Sounds. Check the box for "muzzle non-standards sounds". Accept and confirm the changes, then look for it again and uncheck it. It seems the sound bugs out on the first try, but if you reset the sound it gets fixed.

Thanks, that does seem to actually help. But is Lotus supposed to laugh excessively and talk about snack food so much during missions with this enabled?

 Edit: I don't know how to make it so it is embedded. Seems to be different than youtube videos.
