Angelus_de_Mortiel
There was an idea I heard in a discussion that might have an intriguing possibility:If you set you status to "Solo" and enter a Survival mission type, you would enter it as the lone Tenno raiding supplies that Lotus mentions during Survival missions. This could involve either something like the current Spy mission type where you have to retrieve canisters from various locations around the map. There would be enemies, but only a select few (no more than say one or two per room) that are unalerted to you because the other Tenno are acting as a distraction. Stealth optional, but more fun. This could also open up a possibility for other slight variations of maps if someone enters a map in "Solo" status. Solo status would be required because some of these might not allow for an in-progress mission type change. Any thoughts?
LGear
The problem with this suggestion is that it'd no longer be a Survival mission, it'd be a Raid mission, aka the predecessor to Survival before it was replaced. Also, people like myself like to solo Survival missions in all their messy glory, due to the amount of enemies you can fight. Having a particular mission suddenly completely change gameplay type because you set the lobby type to Solo would be a bad idea, meaning that for those of use Solo players we'd never be able to play Survival. Navarc
Rad as hell. I had an idea that when someone is captured by the Harvester and you are to become a Zanuka project, there can be like a list for "unique" quests where people can join to rescue tennos.Make it like "Distress Signal Missions" or something. If you were in a party when you were captured the players get a pop-up to choose whether to follow the Harvester and rescue you or complete their current mission.Of course, this would mean we need more situations where tennos are captured and in need of rescue rather than instantly being killed and ragdolling, bouncing around not-so-graciously abruptly like they do now. ..Also this would be very very complicated to implement I'd imagine and they'd have to make new maps and such so I don't think they would think it'd be worth it even if I personally and probably just me alone think it sounds really cool and I'd spend all day rescuing people. That sounds horrible for the person beinb captured. So what? They cant play the game until they get rescued?

Which you could still do a solo Survival... Just set the status to Private or Invite Only, and start the mission as normal. Solo mode would initiate the raid only, and initiate any other special Solo Mode missions. Invite Only, Private, or Online modes will start any missions as normal. The reason I play Solo mode though is that I want to be able to pause the game when something happens that requires my attention elsewhere, or for any other reason. Should we be denied that ability simply because the game mode we're given is not the one we signed up for due to having a different lobby type? If we want to play a Raid Mission, then they better do Raid as a separate mission type. Or at least, give the option to choose mission types on the lobby screen, similar to how you can choose between Nightmare and Regular modes. Tying mission types to lobby types though definitely sounds like a bad idea to me.
