All Factions Should Not Share The Same Leaders.

Hi. 

Nobody cared about this before ? 

Why are all the faction leader units able to do the same things ? 

Shouldn't we split them between faction, making the game less "always the saaaame"  ? 

 

 

Here is my idea : 

 

Corpus Leaders  

 

Mag leaders -> HUD disruption, energy loss, shield loss. 

Ice leaders -> Snow globe only. 

Guardian -> Restores shields of nearby allies. 

 

 

Grineer Leaders  

 

Fire leaders -> Fire blast only. 

Ice leaders -> Slow down only, no snow globe. 

Blast -> defends itself with a blast attack. 
 

 

Infested Leaders

 

Energy leech

Lifesteal 

 

 

 

Corrupted Leaders  

 

All of them, okay that's clean. 

 

 

 

 

What do you all think about it ? 

I myself never saw some leader types in one or another faction (never seen snow globe generated by an infested), so is there already kind of a system like the one I described above ?

Granted Corpus technology has a cleaner and more futuristic feel to it, and Grineer seem more in love with grizzly weapons and tech... They did have an uneasy "understanding" and seem to like messing with each other so maybe the tech is of Corpus design/rediscovery and adopted as the same by the Grineer to boost their tactical efficiency. Like erm....maybe they share some technological ideas because they steal them from each other when they take over a map owned by the opposite faction during the operations? ;o

 

I would sure like to think that the Grineer would see some advantage in shielding and energy based weaponry in those fancy data caches they are likely to come across in a freshly conquered Corpus system :D Or Corpus wanting to pop some stronger armor on their robotic assets they love sending at us xD

Would not be bad, but here my goal is diversity. Having to deal with the same leaders when we fight another faction is kind of boring ^^'

Rather than normal enemies with boosted HP and a random ability, each faction should actually have unique enemies as leaders.

Also this. 

 

At the point my main problem is them sharing each other's leaders, but of course it would be better with dedicated new units.

TBH, lore wise, Grineer and Corpus have been trading before the wake of these murderous space ninja. I assume that some of these 'mods' have been sold through the black market dealer like Darvo and distributed through the factions.

However, it's a solid idea that some abilities should be reserved for specific faction (toxin aura would be strange on Corpus).

Their current design is still in infancy, imo. I want more of them with unique animation/design. Abilities should be adjusted to be a bit more fair (magnetic proc and fire leader are essentially cheap power since player's skill is taken out of equation.
