How Are You Supposed To Use The Torid?

There's some people that actually like this thing... How? Why? It's clumsy and slow as a "cannon", and the clouds are too small and too weak to be a grenade launcher. I don't get this thing at all. :(

Torid can melt enemies easily, once fully modded. Of course everyone has their opinion about every weapon. For example, I like Spectra (because of the looks).

 

You don´t like it? Don´t use it.

Its completely harmless, except for your enemies.

It does hurt enemies to get hit by projectile.

Aim for direct impact shots, that does a lot of damage. Build Corrosive + Blast so the enemies get stunlocked. 

 

 

 

I currently have around 10k kills with it in couple of days.

As a 4-Forma Torid user, I can definitely say that this is:
1: One of the best end-game weapons that you could ask for
2: Very difficult to use until you master it
3: The most fun gun ever created

 

I will say that this is the most rewarding gun, as it does the Highest DPS of ANY gun, as long as you can use it properly.

Of course, this being a strictly elemental weapon, you can mod it very differently based on your needs. Grineer? Viral. Infested? a Gas DoT on top of a gas AoE with a poison Dot AoE. Corpus? I find that Poison is far superior. Shields? What shields?

But yes, Skill-based gun is very many much damage. Try to tag enemies directly, magazine size, reload speed and speed trigger are necessary, and don't be shy about using ammo- You'll rarely ever run out. Even against lv 50 enemies!
