Metsudo
Okay this is something that has been on my mind for a while so it's about time I posted it. I'm suggesting a rework of the current survival mission type to make it both more logically consistent and more team oriented. The first change that I'm suggesting is to change the enemy response at the start of the mission from deactivating the life support to releasing a toxin throughout the environment. This would allow a much more logical use on outdoor tile sets like Earth (where the whole idea of the life support being cut off is frankly preposterous). The o2 modules that Lotus delivers could be renamed Atmospheric processors and would decontaminate the surrounding air for the Tenno. Also the o2 packs dropped from enemies could be reworked to damaged regulators or some thing similar that still provide some air for the Tenno. Secondly I suggest making the modules from Lotus have a fixed area of effect (perhaps limited to the room it is in). This would dissuade the Tenno from splitting up from the rest of the cell, thereby reducing the issue of players running off and hogging all the kills/XP to themselves. Each Tenno would also have their own o2 level (i.e. separate from the rest of the cell) which can be filled by either being within the radius of the module or by collecting regulators from the fallen enemies (each enemy drop would work like energy/health orbs and would be retrievable by all cell members). Once a Tennos o2 has run out, they begin loosing health slowly, causing the Tenno to fall into the bleed out state on depletion. They could still be revived by team mates, but it would give a penalty for not playing the objective. There would be other issues to work out with this re work, like Nekros using desecrate to avoid needing the modules (perhaps o2 drops could be separate from the normal drop pool and so wouldn't be effected by desecrate), so I'd like to see o2 drops balanced so that desecrate would be unneeded if playing the objective. Hopefully the changes would make survival a more team based game type with players focusing more on supporting each other than just killing as much as possible. It should also remove the annoyance of Tenno using modules "too early", as their effect would be more gradual. Thank you for reading and for any feed back.
