With the current system of death, you run out of HP, and your team mates have 20 seconds (unless modded) to get to your body and spray green stuff all over you, then you stand back up, but often times, you are dying in the middle of a heated fire fight between a large sum of enemies, so My first Idea would be, tap the revive key to pick up your fallen team mate, a quick animation would play of you lifting your fellow tenno, dropping them on your shoulder, and grabbing your side arm. this would make you move slightly 25-30% slower, restrict you to your secondary, and make you unable to jump, but you are able to carry your fallen team mate to a safe corner, *bleeding can be slowed drastically whilst being carried. *carrying 2 players would require X stamina to carry, while carrying 3 would result in needed 2X to lift them and carry both *more than one player on your shoulder makes you unable to shoot with your secondary, while a third makes you only able to walk. *powers like ripline, tailwind, super jump, all would be unavailable *tankier slower frames would use 25% more stamina to carry team mates while caster frames would use 50-75% more. *heavy frames like Rhino, frost, and saryn, would all "weigh" more than the others, causing them to slow your tean nate more that carrying a frame like nova or mag. *heavy frames would be less encumbered by carrying team mates. *x could be equal to 20, 40, or 50% stamina. *while being carried, you would have a "roll off" option or something better named, that would quite literally make you fall off of your team mates shoulder and make them unable to carry you again until your next death. *this is to prevent trolls *while being carried, you can shoot with your pistol, fire rate on semi auto pistols slows proportional to your bleed out timer, and full auto pistols take a large hit in accuracy and recoil, also proportional to your bleed out timer when dying, you are revived by green gas of life, flowing from your fellow tenno's hands, as they (more often than not) slide 3 meters past where your body is, lets make something a little bit better, double tapping the revive key and holding it would make you enter a faster animation, where you would crouch next to them, hold both your arms over them, then flow forth the green gas of life. taking fire would interrupt this. would take 75% of the time it takes to revive someone as of now. with these changes, they could make your standard field revive take longer, so there would be an incentive to carry your team mate to cover. standard revive could leave the fallen tenno at 50-75% max HP for 15 seconds (not too long) and the "covered" revive, would put them at 125% HP for 15 seconds (this is iffy) *this paragraph is very unorganised, it is 1:00 am and I am very tired, I will reformat this paragraph tomorrow, please leave some good feed back for me Edited April 4, 2014 by VYR3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

FinnishHim Posted April 3, 2014 Share Posted April 3, 2014 I like it. Would add a cool, team-themed mechanic to the game and would definitely create some memorable moments if pulled off correctly. However, I'm not sure if a "non-covered" revive should be interrupted by damage, but maybe just slow it or something, to the point where enough fire would actually halt the heal, but the ally could still keep "reviving" (plugging bullet holes more like haha) to prevent bleedout while enemies are taken care of. That way those types of revives would still be possible, but reviving in safety would be the more tactically-sound choice in a headed firefight. However, you might be thinking "Well what's the point of preventing the bleedout if you can just pick them up and halt the bleedout?" well, I'm thinking maybe a pick-up would just drastically slow the bleeding (mod opportunity here to slow bleeds while carrying! :P there should also just be a mod that increases healing rate, I mean come on haha), and at a certain point of bleeding out the fallen-warframe would have an animation that basically would resemble a "I can't go on... :'( " like you see in the movies XD haha. why do I say this? Well, that way you can't just carry around a Tenno in critical condition for minutes on end, at some point, they will need to a stop and have immediate medical attention. Also that way trolls can't just pick up a fallen Tenno and carry him around the whole match bahaha XD you know? I really like the idea. Sorry if I sorta said too much. VicAnimus Posted April 3, 2014 Share Posted April 3, 2014 Carrying your downed teammates to cover sounds like an awesome mechanic. Currently the crawling isn't cutting it. You get stuck most of the time and are usually surrounded by enemies. I'm not sure about the health buff, but a dedicated revive animation would be very welcome. Adamusa Posted April 3, 2014 Share Posted April 3, 2014 Something I would love to see is basically a "GET BACK UP YOU LAZY GIT" sort of animation. For example, team-mate goes down. Friendly goes over to them and literally drags them back to their feet, maybe transferring the magical life spooge as they do so. I think that'd be somewhat more immersive than the current aerosol method. As for carrying wounded/dead teammates, great idea. Similar to army of two (video games) about revive each other while you could drag your team while your team could provide to cover for you? AhziDahaka Posted April 6, 2014 Share Posted April 6, 2014 The thing about such a "carry revive" system is that it's currently pretty easy to clear out the area. In most situations, you can just fire off an ult or some crowd control move and there you go, no worries. Even the downed person can use their secondary to clear out the area fairly competently... So for a start, the player in bleedout mode should at least have really bad accuracy and reduced fire rate when in bleedout. There should also be two types of revive: a quick version that takes about as long as revives currently do, but only revives the player with a small fraction of health, and a slower version that takes 2-3 times as long but fully restores the player's health and shields. Players performing revivals should also take extra damage when hit during the process. That way, there's a real incentive to carry your fallen comrade to a safe location whenever possible, rather than just "lol press 4". I'd also like being able to pick up a carry a fully-dead teammate to extraction. A Tenno who does carry a teammate as such could even get a small reward, and the carried teammate could still get the full mission rewards. Of course, to prevent abuse the downed player has to be killed by enemy fire, and not from blowing themselves up. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
