Cemges
Ok, lets clear this one thing out. I will later post a much in depth feedback about this issue this weekend, but stop with the megathreads on general discussion topic. Megathreads are how DE find it most easy to read every individual feedback, and thats ok. But it certainly isnt a way that lets player communicate, every one post in there are individual and independent because megathreads fail to notify people of different topics. If it have been for reddit with horizontal placement of related topics or a forum structure with alt / sub topics, I'd be ok. But lack of possibility to communicate without huge quote chains under a megathread isnt helping players. Not at all. Its disorganised and lazy. It doesnt even try to get things working. Megathreads on trending topics are non of DE's business and you should give up Ease of moderation and less fragmentation for the sake of letting players communicate easily and letting discussions continue in their own, one post talking about something and other reply taking place 50 pages later to that specific post in a megathread is not a way of communicating. Also I am not aware of quote notificstions, do they exist? So stop merging threads in each other or change forum infrastructure to something like reddit once you have time. But you can try and do better organisation under this forum as well. You need to try. Tl; dr Megathreads are too disorganised and difficult to communicate Edited April 3, 2014 by Cemges
Enmity666
Uh...another wall of text... Not sure if i actually want to read this one or not... Such a hard decision.
Ground.Zero
Uh...another wall of text... Not sure if i actually want to read this one or not... Such a hard decision. This is why megathreads fail. People can't be bothered reading one post, yet alone a whole thread and just post their opinions anyway, regardless of if it's on topic or not. SpilockT_T
Megathread with 200++ pages are really annoying to read..
Noogums
I don't know about that. In my opinion, Megathreads are so that instead of having 20 threads on the front page all asking for Grate Prime to be real, you now have one thread with 20 posts.Megathreads are to keep the Forum pages organized and clean. It doesn't matter that every five or so posts there's one that pretends you've read the title it no longer has, that's the poster's fault for trying to be clever and ask part of their question in the title, instead of in the post, which in the event of a Merge, remains unchanged.Better a messy thread than a messy Forum. And yes, quote notifications do exist. Cemges
Oh thanks I turned those on. Still doesnt make a megathread communicable. We need to be able to communicate on forums, dont you think

No this thread fails because OP doesn't know how to structure a post. If you haven't noticed the 2 mega threads in general discussion are just hype an speculation thread. You don't need to read most of it. And it's not about making communication easier it's to remove clutter from the forums and get everyone who is talking about the same thing in 1 thread. You try that on a smarthpone while walking on street. But well forum is a mean of communication and megathreads fails at that. And this is my concern. Its like throwing trash under carpet. And mega threads are often successfully if people know how to use them. If the OP is good at keeping it updated with info then people only need to read the op and last page or so. Dude you simply don't know what a megathread is. A megathread doesn't have an OP, it is a bunch of threads that is merged into one another by moderators and they also change a meaningfull thread topic to megathread, not reflecting anything
