The Terrible, Awful, No Good, Very Bad Idea On Trading (Non-Prime) Weapons

Just an (awful) idea for how weapon trading could work.

Basically, you can trade ANY weapon on warframe, but with one very big stipulation: you can't modify it in ANY way.  If it's Rank 30 when you buy it, it stays Rank 30 til the end of time.  You can't apply Forma, or Potato, or change mods, or change color, etc.

Now the reason for this is so that you can still try out the weapon, but in order to get Mastery points for it (or enjoy the exciting experience of leveling it) you need to build/buy it the regular way.

DE is still able to sell them in the Market, and people get a chance to try out different weapons.

By the time this game is "finished" we're going to have (probably) over 100 different weapons, and dozens of different Frames.  Why not make it (slightly) easier to try em out?

I would prefer a trial thing from the market.

Like try a weapon for a couple hours, you get it rank 30 and you can't apply forma or potatoes, and you don't get any mastery from it and the play time with the weapon doesn't count.

No thanks.

Generally speaking, if you want to help a buddy craft a non-prime you should just help by donating raw materials to his cause. I think it best that DE gives us the ability to do that as opposed to finding some way to make trading complete weapons work out.

Are raw materials trade-able now?

Genuinely curious.

donating raw material? explain this sorcery! ;O

Well, I'm saying that it should be a thing. I probably should have been more clear.

It makes way more sense to just open up materials trading then it does to open up the transfer of weapons.
