So I have noticed how plain the infested are. Then I Thought to myself: "This is a Mature Game, why not make it more violent?". So I have come up with this array of ideas.

Passive:

- Infested Muscle Tissue: So if you have gore enabled this would make so that, lets say you shoot a leaper, then depending where you shot it, the limb/part of stomach with fly off with blood gushing out of the wound, making it shriek louder and louder.

- Shrieks: It would be awesome if DE could make Scarier screams to catch the player off guard.

Ancient:

- Cries: These guys should say something like a twisted version of "Join us..." in a crewman or grineer voice.

Crawler:

- Damage 2.0: "When 2 Crawlers like each other very much...". All jokes aside, it would be cool if 2 crawlers touched each other, they would turn into a Bigger respective combo element crawler.

-Mobility: They should be able to climb on walls and ceilings {and possibly} jump down pounce on you.

Runner:

-Remains: It would be kind of cool if you can see {if gore is on} all the splattered runner parts after or if they explode.

Leaper:

- Jumping tactics: Allows a leaper to jump from wall to wall to get close to a target.

Chargers:

-Canine Herritage: They should travel in packs, possibly howl or shriek together, bark off other packs for territorial reasons a little bit like that.

Traps:

- Broken Air Cooler: A Vent which sprays a cone of noxious gas doing DoT.

- Web like Tissue: Webs will be in doors which will 1)Slow you 2)Attract Crawlers

-Infested Magnetic Door: These have been broken by the infested, causing it to light pretty much everything on fire.

Mechanics:

-Strong-Holds: Camps with the Few Marines and Crewman who survived, usually in a small or cramped room with crates and ETC.

-Crawler Add-Ons: Electric Crawler: Has an Arc Trap Fused in it  Noxious Crawler: Green Foggy liquid on it

- Transmissions: Either from Out of the Base or inside a stronghold, there should be sort of like SOS or Check in Messages.

In:

SOS, Grineer Ship 9076 has been attacked by infested. Send help.

Help! The Infested have Overtaken our Vault Ship, bring this to the board please...

Dammnit, this is useless were all going to die.

Out:

Hello? Do you read me? If so we have received your message and your ship will be terminated to stop the virus, good day.

This is Frohd Bek of the Corpus Board, we are having complications so we wont reach your ship in time. At least youll die rich...

Back when I first started playing I expected these kinds of things from the infested. Between the eerie dark maps and creepy screams they felt kind of like The Flood from Halo meets Necromorphs from Dead Space. It was awesome.

A cross between the Flood and Necromorphs is exactly what I want from the Infested. Derelicts could be darker and more warped (they already kind of are, but I mean like the flashlight is your primary source of seeing rather than a backup), the Infested could be horror-esque and shocking (like pouncing on you when you don't see them coming), etc.

Darken the entire level.

All infested missions involve the use of the flashlight, so If the contrast between ambient light sources and the rest of the level became more intense, there would be patches of darkness that would allow infested to appear as no more than silhouettes. This would be scarier, because the creations one's own imagination are almost always more frightening than anything anyone else can cook up.

By leaving the impression that, yes there is a target there, but no, you don't know what it looks like until you shine the flashlight on it, it allows the player to retain combat effectiveness, but affords the enemies a sense of predatory mystique, one that inspires fear in as much the same way that predators in real life evoke the feeling of being stalked.

Gunfire would illuminate the immediate area in a strobing effect, that would be spooky. Flashes of your oppenent's screaming faces as the horde closed in...

There's more to be added here, but I'll leave that to the rest of you. I have to leave you something to imagine!
