I Can't Figure Out How To Build Frost To The Best Of His Ability.

Question

I either feel too sluggish and don't do enough damage or I feel too sluggish and can't tank anything.

Thematically, I love Frost. The Ice-Theme is amazing and I want to love his style of game play, but I can't find his niche. I can't figure out where he really shines. I know his snowglobe makes him great at defense/survival missions, but if I build tanky then I can't kill anything and if I build offensively then I melt too quickly to deal with the mobs.

wat do

Build tanky and let your weapons do the killing.

May efficiency snow globe with some duration to counteract the loss of duration.

Frost is the immovable object he is the rock, the mountain, he does not go to the battle the battle goes to him and he dictates it.

Power range to the max. After that throw on some power strength and your usual defensive buffs.

Power Strength to the max. Better to have a stronger Snow Globe and other offensive abilities compared to everything else. Afterwards, duration and range. You don't want to make the Snow Globe too big; otherwise, more shots will hit. However, duration may be wasted if the Snow Globe pops too quickly...

With that being said, his other abilities benefit more from range rather than duration.

kk, this is what works for me!

_Freeze_

Snowglobe

Icewave

Avalanche

Vitality

Steel FIber

Continuity

Flow

Intensify

Narrowminded (Partly Leveled, not maxed)

Stretch (maxed)

Aura: Rejuv (ive debated on forma'ing for Energy siphon, but i find the health regen keeps me on my feet longer)

A Squall Helmet can help get the most out of damage.

This gives you a VERY sturdy globe that lasts a minute

A long Icewave that typically one-shots all enemies up to lvl 20-25

An Avalanche that can clear a room

Enough health and armor to take bullets and rockets to the face between globes

I can still do defesenses REALLY well, AND i can kill things reliably

If you cant get a hold of Narrowminded yet, Rush can work in the meantime (as every other aspect of Frost is covered at this point), or Steamline if you want to go more power-heavy

Thing with snow globe is that you dont need to care for duration unless using max fleeting exp, because the way it scales, it almost will remain the exact same duration, that is 4 seconds plus all the damage it absorbed, makes up for same duration at every level. so instead I focus on power strength for lower level builds since it can hit 7 k with avalanche to moa and 5 k to crewman. Otherwise, making a strong globe can give you the advantage of slow down, but nor stretch does effect slow down range, nor globe can last long enough to make a strong cc build.

Pretty much. I use max Fleeting Expertise, max Redirection, max Steel Fiber, Rank 8 Blind Rage (maxing it costs too much Power Efficiency), and a Max Flow (for the larger energy tank for spamming). I threw in all of Frost's four abilities, and I used a Rank 9 Vitality (which can be replaced).

Intensify will increase the damage absorption of Snowglobe more than Steel Fiber, while increasing the damage of other abilities as well.

Dropping BR 1 rank and using Streamline, making abilities cost 50%, is better than using Flow, imo. Basically a little less burst casting potential but far easier to sustain over time.

I use http://goo.gl/98qAR7 for most content, with a separate build focusing on Snowglobe which is really no fun at all >.>
