This would be unrealistic, because i got far more than that legitimately, everything you see in the video was farmed. I got Vitality, Redirection, Pressure Point on the very first missions i did.

Yeah, you farmed them while being carried to Lv25+ content, where you had no business being at your gear level at the time.

Are you somehow missing that point?

No Newbie fresh to Earth belongs in ODD. It very much is simple as that. To ask, or worse, expect players to be carried just so they can get past one overpowered node on the starmap is beyond ludicrous.

Again, take the damn Hornet Strike and Serration off and try again. Until you do, this whole experiment of yours is nothing but a joke.

this whole experiment is flawed as the one conducting it isn't a new player.

his experience alone makes the results skewed.

knowing the flow of the battle and having that many hours of play under his belt skews the results far beyond simply using +damage mods.

unless you want to recruit a bunch of raw never-played-before people to conduct this, your results mean very little.

Adversely, you could just have Lotus scream, "A team of four is HIGHLY recommended for this mission, and you may want to spread yourself out among the stations here." Also only having the small cannon fodder appear on the first wave would be nice as well...

I watch the prow of a ship once mine.

She sinks beneath the waves... hungry with mediocrity.

Helpless and alone I float.

There is no salvation.  The masses left shipwrecked in the frigid waters drink the poisoned juices of the dumb down.

From distant sight, one life remains... that too burns low.

Then silence reigns.  Only the sea of dull boring mediocrity does remain.

Exunt.

2. Elementals are often not available here, Combined elements is really out of the question without trading.  But certainly this is a good idea if you are M2 at this point trade for a good elemental set.  So that leave base damage.  A 2 puncture does matter in this case.  A weapon with 10 puncture by comparison would deal up to five times the damage.   Puncture is going to get a boost against Grineer heavies (not to mention bypass armor) and a 2 even with this boost and potentially serration would not be a very large number.  Meanwhile on the melee side.  You have at least 100% boost to melee due to mod card plus 10 puncture on your dual heat blades, plus the ability to charge... plus any frame mod (for loci melee can be X2).  This is big deal here.

There is no more armour ignore (with the possible exception of Ash's Blade Storm). RIP, Serrated Blade. We miss you, Physics Impact.

TBH, I like the effort you put into this experiment but this is not a typical new player experience.

The experiment should not involve OD and Void mission. New players aren't aware of that if they start fresh without any knowledge of the game in advance. You can't just 'assume' that all new players will read the wiki before playing the game. The experiment would be better if you use normal progression system from Mercury to Earth. Farming spot should be survival missions in these areas before reaching Eurasia.

Another factor that you can't control no matter what you do is the fact that you're not completely new to the game. This factor alone will improve your gameplay even when you sport with newbies gears and no mod.

It's a commendable effort but sadly it doesn't represent anything. The only thing that will be acceptable regarding this issue is a group of new players playing it for the first time giving feedback about game's progression.

My conclusion to this experiment: The Newbie game play experience its not that Seven-Headed-Dragon some players believe.

Here's my conclusion of your conclusion:

Warframe vets who create new accounts, and are then powerleveled find Interception challenging, but not impossible.

Great! So lets place Interception somewhere that everyone can experience it after knowing how to make a build & looting cores from high level content.

EG: when they aren't newbies.

Still think making it a side-road like Apollodorus is hands-down..

1). The easiest solution to the problem.

2). The best solution to the problem.

As it hurts no one, and allows everyone to enjoy the Interception as it is now. Moving it to a later planet will only jack its difficulty up due to mob levels (some people might not like that), AND, the Jungle Map is the only map that has an Interception tile.

Therefore, putting it on a side-road allows newbies to skip it, but yet keeps it on Earth (so you don't have to go making new tiles or anything like that).

Forget about it man.  I for one found what you did very interesting and informative.  I will do the same when I get a chance.  I think it will be fun and a piece of cake.  You know this is exactly the sort of study a real game designer would have commissioned from his lead tester.

It's the producers that set up such type of tests, not the designers.  And they don't use their lead testers, their regular testers, or anyone else that has a lot of knowledge about the game.  Instead, you bring in players who have never played the game before.  You do this because they'll react like the new players they are.  They won't know that this is what you do to defeat the boss, and so they'll reveal things like that you need to telegraph your boss's weaknesses better.  Or that this way through the mission you thought was super obvious isn't.

You see the sort of flaws here easily enough.  He's doing stuff very few newbies would do, which got him some lucky drops that newbies wouldn't know exist, and then declaring that things are fine for newbies.

I'm fine with that... though I still want an optional panic mode which gives you 3x the enemies.
