Hey fellow tenno,

i really like Volt, because he reminds me abit of Cole MacGrath from InFamous, i like a shocking nature (man this one was

bad)

atm i dont know if i should play him more as support or damage frame.

would be awesome if someone had a good allround build for everything including (OD,Void)

thanks in advance : )

Volt's not the best choice for high level stuff, his damage output and survivability are both pretty low. Your only real option is to enhance power strength and efficiency and spam shock. His speed buff works well with melee weapons, but his low stats make getting that close to enemies a bad idea.

The problem with volt is that he's a jack of all trades. Your best bet for any frame is to build it based on one or two of it's skills that you like or need for certain situations, and then work from there. For example, his shock is good for stunning a crowd, while his shield protects him from harm as long as he's behind it. These two skills are great for a defensive build/mission, since you can then tear apart crowds without fear of retaliation. Alternatively, if the "Electric Frost" approach isn't your bag of tea, you could always go with the run and gun approach with shock and speed. With that setup you can run circles around your enemies whilst keeping them in a stunned state, allowing you to control/wipe out large groups with your stun-locking and hit-and-run tactics! =D

If you want to go for high-levels, then damage builds are more or less out of the question; 800 base damage for an Ultimate that offers zero utility isn't really all too impressive. You'd be better off nuking with Frost (1500 base Ice) or Oberon (625 Impact + 625 Radiation) or something. At least those two will be able to break through Corpus shields at high levels.

Go for a build that lets you spam Shock with a good bit of range and efficiency; you're going to need that CC as a Volt. Don't cut down Power Strength too much, though, since it affects the boost given by Speed.

Remember that Volt gameplay revolves around taking advantage of the fact that your first two Abilities (the most important ones, mind you) can be used while performing actions such as rolling, reloading, or even shooting without interruption. Most other Frame abilities don't have this luxury other than Vauban.

I personally use him with just shock i forma'd away all his other skills. I stun lock the enemies while i shoot and i switched all the ability slots with defense polarities and gave him max vit, red, and vigor for survivability. Gave him efficiency and range. didn't bother with dmg. I go to around 50 min average with my volt on ceres survivals.

His 1, Shock, Can be casted while you are shooting. Use this to your advantage. Volt can also cast this skill without interupting a charge weapons charge shot. (for example a fully charged dread won't uncharge if you use shock.)

Stretch

Flow

Streamline

Fleeting Expertise

Continuity

Constitution

Intensify

Overload

Electric Shield

Speed Boost

Pulse Helm

Aura for Solo: Energy Regen and switch Continuity/Constitution for Enemy Sense, Aura for Teamplay: Either Energy Regen or Enemy Radar depending on what the other membes have.

Solo Volt is great for all "normal" missions (not nightmare) and completing invasions really fast. He is also shines in farming Oxium and other rescources in Corpus based low-mid level Surv/Def. Hes good at T3 Cap and T3 Ext. (Decent at T3 Surv/Def/Mob Def in a team)

If playing long survivals/defenses in a team its advised that the "base" classes are present first before choosing Volt. (For example in survival: Trinity, Nekros, Nova or Mag if its Corpus) In this scenario Volt takes a support role, putting shields in hallways filled with mobs to buff damage, stunning enemies and giving time to breathe when the Nova/Mag is alt+tabbing out to check their Facebook or when Trinity need to cast Blessing, and making the team move quickly from one crowd of red dots on the radar to another.

Volt is a more than viable Frame for about 75% of the content in Warframe and his speed boost is one of my favourite skills in the game.
