Nekros And His Helmets

I'm not a fan of the Warframe himself, but I thought I'd make this topic anyway to comment on and praise the work on Nekros's helmets.

His default helmet looks great with its hood-like structure and glowing eyes. Under the hood, his head also appears pretty skeletal. Fitting with his 'necromancer' theme.

The Raknis helmet looks rather aggressive, but still seems to fit well with the rest of his frame. A bit hard to describe this one, but still good.

Now the Shroud is one I really admire. That face-concealing cloth-like flap reminds one of creepy faceless cultists, especially with the weird pattern on it. Thumbs up for the design on this helmet.

And uh that's pretty much it. Thanks for giving Nekros awesome helmets.

Warframe has the most unique and interesting art direction i have seen in a video game in many many years, you can see different influences both occidental and oriental but all of the designs get away from common places and cliches and become beautiful pieces of art, some might think im exaggerating but i truly believe that the whole artistic style is genius, i think that one of the key elements is that some of the frames even look a little bizarre, a little ridiculous in some details, but that is exactly what makes them so great, the fact that the artists seem to sincerely and honestly create this creatures with complete freedom and without prejudices.

Stock nekros looks a lot like the Geth.

Raknis is cool, tarantula-face

Shroud is OK but I don't like the way the color pattern is set, besides it has some of those annoying "gray parts" that kill the feeling no matter how I paint him.

Even though I don't like some of the more recent designs, for being bloated in details, I take my hat off to the art section.
