Which Weapon To Be Potatoed?

Which weapon among these u advice me to potatoe (use catalyst) ? (if u could make a ranking would be really nice)

 

RIFFLE:

soma, phage,ogris,penta, boar prime, latron prime,synapse

 

SECUNDARY:

despair, marelok,dual cestra,castanas (in the future : brakk,detron,acrid)

 

MELEE:

Orthos Prime,Fang Prime, Dual Ichor,Galatine ,Glaive prime,Jat Kittag

Well I like to prioritize by just thinking which one I like to use the most.

 

Efficiency wise. I can imagine a lot of players would call out the Soma and/or Orthos Prime

 

Side-note: Brakk doesn't exactly need the catalyst as much as most others in this list imho.

i would pick Soma as a new player , that still doesn't have access to prime weapon yet

In terms of the Primary, the Soma will be your most likely go to if you just want a general and efficient rifle which gets stuff done. Latron Prime, Penta and Synapse all have good arguments going for them to be mains, so long as you don't mind their unusual play styles. Ogris, Boar and Phage are all very worthy, though they strike me more as side projects.

The secondaries it really comes down to what you like. Any of them will easily get you through a T3 no worries with just a catalyst, so choose whichever you like.

Melee... well, I would wait until Melee2.0 if I were you.

Worthy weapons are soma, latron prime, BOAR PRIME (its awesome), fang prime(kills everything in matter of seconds), marelok definetly (mine does around 10k dmg per shot) and prthos prime with charge build. If u need builds, feel free to ask:)

My choice would be:

 

Synapse (soma is for newer players, but once you know how to play it synapse is more eficient and stronger)

 

Brakk (best eficiency/damage per shot paired with good reload and firerate makes it the deadliest pistol availible)

 

Glaive praym (if you want a sniper rifle with infinite ammo)

this would be basically identical to my rankings, so I'm going to do the lazy thing and just direct the OP back to this post

 

all the weapons OP listed are pretty strong. and as others have said, you should potato the ones that you like the best. the secondary and melee are spot on, I'd say. but deciding which primary to potato, you definitely want to look at which ones are compatible with you. that being said, soma is easy to use for anyone. phage might require some rare mods and if you don't like the pseudo charge mechanic (focusing the beams), then maybe don't use it. the penta would be #1 if OP plays trinity and can keep himself invincible. because then there's really no downside to using it. otherwise, be prepared to instakill yourself once your penta is strong enough. if you're not a spray and pray kinda guy, and you like powerful, accurate weapons, then the latron prime is for you. if you don't like having ammo and want to do a lot of damage in short bursts, then boar prime might be your gun of choice. synapse is similar to the soma, it's fairly easy to use, but it's less general purpose because of the base electric damage and the hard cap on the range. still very strong, and you can easily change it to corrosive damage which is one of if not the best general-purpose elemental damage type

 

so consider that as well. and I suppose another thing to point out is get a secondary and primary that complement each other. one long range, one short range, at least in terms of accuracy. so latron prime+brakk is a perfect combo, or boar prime/phage+marelok. also things like soma/synapse+marelok because marelok is a pocket sniper that can hit targets from far away, while soma is inaccurate at long ranges and synapse doesn't have long range. penta works with any secondary, it just depends on how you use it. if you don't use it close to yourself (if you're not a trinity, basically), then brakk can clean up anything that gets near you. but if you don't want to wait for the grenades to bounce to those far away enemies, then marelok can take them out at long ranges, and you can use the penta to clean up mid-close range
