Favorite Places To Affinity Grind?

Wow, bet this has never been asked before. Alright- lemmie explain;

Few weeks back, I had bought the Prime Accessories pack because.... Why not- and since I found myself playing WF more often than usual, I decided I should pprroobbaaabblllyyy put the affinity booster it gives to good use and start using it to forma grind some of me weapons. And since I only just recently got back into the WF urges, I've kinda been outta loop with things like the star chart revamps and what not.

Now, since I'm a good boy, I did ask Google God for advice, however many of it's answers were from the last year and before the star map changes, and thus I didn't want any old or irrelevant information coming my way, so I've taken the easy way out, and to stomp out any potential misinformation, I made a thread.

With that disclaimer outta the way; I'd love to hear suggestions. I'm going to assume that Defense, Survival and Mobile Defense are still great for this, but I'm curious as to which ones would be best ever since Infested sadly went extinct... almost :(.

Eurasia with a group of four is always great. Enemies come thick and fast and as long as you're not playing solo you'll see a whole lot of affinity coming through for all of your gear.

The most consensus would probably say Appolodorus, Cassini/Mimas, or Kappa.

These three places are good to level up weapons.

Apollodorus if very low level.

 

Phalan and Elara if high or mid level, respectively. The former is also an excellent source of T3 keys.

 

Any MD will be good, but for weapons only. With 'frames you need a bit less of a hectic pace, at least at first.

I prefer survival, but defense and mobile defense are decent for affinity now as well. elara on jupiter is my go-to place, unless I really want to kill grineer. the anti-moas there give you a lot more affinity than normal enemies, they're really not all that tough to take down, and they start appearing early on

 

otherwise, I go to cassini to get some affinity and maybe a couple orokin cells too. but I'd say elara is the best bang for your buck

T1 defense is my go to place to level, extremely easy and gives a ton of exp. On top of it being an easy key to get you can also obtain forma blueprints from it or get another T1 defense key while you are at it. Normally I stop at wave 25 to switch out gear and that will net me around 200-225k overall exp so if you are leeching you will get a solid 50k to everything. Have a good team and you can go longer and get a lot more exp since past wave 20 the exp starts to accumulate extremely fast. (Note that this is if you have players that don't camp the spawns and don't use lasers since you get 0 exp from those kills).

3 good places, Cassini & Kappa I can vouch for. I normally play "Keeler" on Saturn, it gives out a pretty good pay out of affinity after the 5 minute mark; that's when the big boys and girls come out.

I like my Grineer survivals for affinity farming, because heavy units like the Gunners/Napalms/Bombards have big affinity rewards.

 

If i'm leveling a weapon from an unranked state:

 

Apollodorus in Mercury until my weapon reaches rank 10+, usually about 20 minutes or so.

 

from rank 10 onwards:

 

Cassini in Saturn for about the same duration till weapon reaches rank 15+.

Ose in Europa, spawns here are crazy dense, especially in the one part of the tileset where there's a short bridge connecting a big circular door into a platform with stairs. I racked up 1000+ kills solo here a couple of times, in 40-45 minutes.

But yeah, survival is easily the best way to grind affinity.

Kappa is aweful now because of people camping the center room with massive AoEs and ignoring the actual mission.  Eurasia is an exp gold mine, and T3 Defense nets you quite a bit.  Survivals however are king for exp grinding.

Xini used to be the best place, now it's filled with bad players.

 

I strongly recoment you to stay away from kappa-sedna, nowdays the worst node ever, filled with door heroes, you wont get any xp at all there, and I'm glad they all hang out there with each other, so they stay away from planets I actually enjoy, this is also why, I wont share the best places, otherwise they gonna get filled with this crappy players.

Yeah, I can see that growing more and more these days.

But that is not the case (kinda) if there's coordination between players (which rarely happened, but it exist)
