Gurzil
This will be such an interesting addition to the game. With the strength in numbers it will bring, it'll be so enriching, and scary at the same time. Espionage through the roof. Some potential benefits include: More information that can be shared More personalities to crack up, or raise an eyebrow to. ;) More people to run missions with, trade with, duel with, et cetera More help with common issues, or questions about the game I've been in talks with clans I respect since the end of Cicero, so as of this weekend I plan to solidify agreements with them, and perhaps search for others before U13 hits. I'm unsure at this point if you get to name the alliance, or if it takes on the name of your clan. If [DE]Anyone can answer this quandary, i'd appreciate it. If you can't name the alliance separately from your clan name, this is quite restricting, and a naming option should be implemented. Willing to talk with interested clans, about joining the alliance in progress. Anyone care to comment on this new content? Your thoughts, worries, dislikes, et cetera? OniDax
They showed naming the Alliance. Whoever creates it names it.
Arlayn
Curious of Alliances can share lab research... Now that would be a neat bonus. Edited April 4, 2014 by Arlayn

I guess not... Because what if one clan decides to leave the alliance for whatever reason? Also there would be a lot of alliances used as taxi to gain research if it would be copied over to your clan. Not that I'm against it... Since I've researched already everything for our Ghost Clan I don't mind if somebody needs a weapon and leaves afterwards, but I guess there are many people around who hate leeching for some reasons. Could always tax it... such as buying the research would cost more than if you were in the clan to just buy it. On another note how are all he clans going to discuss joining each other? Or is the plan when it comes out go to Recruiting and go. "LF active ghost clans" "LF Alliance of Ghost clans" "LF shadow clans" etc etc... You know its going to happen... I guess the recruitment tab will be spamed to ovlivion like the trading channel. xD My clan is in a bad spot for that... We don't know that many other people/clans... I guess there should be a Forum section for that aliance stuff... like "Find an Alliance!" to go with the theme. xD [edit] Another thing that came into my mind is... There's a cap of 3000 people forming an Alliance... 3 Moon clans no problem... But what if there are several Ghost/Shadow/Storm/Mountain-clans forming an Alliance? What if one of those clans decides to increase in tier and all of a sudden they would surpass the 3000 cap? How are they going to handle that problem? You can't upgrade your clan-tier as long as there's not enough room in the alliance, making you leave the alliance and form a new one? xD Edited April 4, 2014 by MeduSalem
Kroul
I am also currently in talks with a couple of clans about forming an alliance. Two storm clans confirmed so far for joining. I am interested in starting talks with you about forming an alliance!

So were casual players. Guess we need a Casual Alliance too. So some hardcore grinder isn't going "YOU GUYS ARENT ON 24/7 YOU GUYS ARE LAME. I AM LEAVING THIS ALLIANCE BLAH BLAH BLAH"

I AM LEAVING THIS ALLIANCE BLAH BLAH BLAH" Yeah exactly that... Our Ghost clan consists of people who know each other in reality... And most of them are not hardcore players... My Co-Leader and me may be more hardcore but the others are only casual and we are okay with it... So we also would be in favor of a casual alliance. xD The biggest problem I see there is that once the starchart is filled with hardcore alliances the casual Alliances will not stand a chance to bring them down... and if multiple casual alliances do it together... who will be in charge of the tower? That's what unavoidably leads to greed and envy problems. xD

The Casual players won't be on burn out lol... We all know how Burn out can mess up a player.

Gurzil
Only problem with casual clans trying to run towers. Is that the hardcore clans are going to want to take your territory. The solar rails/badlands don't seem like it will be casual content, unless you're with a strong enough alliance to defend the territory, allowing you to casually play as you always do. I just see a casual tower defender coming back and having no tower left. Especially with some of the greed many clans have, especially in the moon tier. We all know who's going to try to control as much as possible, just so they can blow their own horns, louder than they already do. Also if casual clans try to join with hardcore clans, it's rather unfair to expect them to carry you, forcing them to grind harder against more active alliances. I hate to say it, but it looks like casual clans might have to sit this one out, and just choose which sides to fight for, as the towers get contested. -CM-True
Especially with some of the greed many clans have, especially in the moon tier. We all know who's going to try to control as much as possible, just so they can blow their own horns, louder than they already do. The part implying "especially in moon tier" is misleading. There is only one clan in moon tier that fits your description. So if there is only one clan, then including "especially" is a bit bias. I'm in a moon clan and familiar with other moon clans, and they're just like any other clans. As for the main topic at hand: 1) joining an alliance will be another method of expanding contact to different players of the game (much like joining a clan). 2) badlands will be much like events; majority will not be competitive since it does not drastically affect gameplay, and only a very small minority will be competitive (if things remain the same as it is from latest dev stream)
