Jrgsubzero
If I read correctly then will small clans not be able to participate in badlands?
Katakuna
You read incorrectly. Small clans can fully participate in Badlands, it would just be in their best interest to form or join an alliance with other small clans.
Blatantfool
Small clans can participate, however due to their size it'll be far more important for small clans to have a strong Alliance and to have decent relations with other powerful or helpful clans. Because all clan tiers compete in one global territory war the towers themselves are quite expensive, since it'd be unfair to higher tiers if lower tiers could afford to spam towers. Of course, it'd be perfectly valid for a smaller clan to focus on helping another specific larger clan keep its towers instead of trying to afford their own and keep it up. Larger clans will always have an easier time building towers and Smaller clans will always have an easier time picking and choosing who they ally. Can alliance members donate to the building of a tower that is in a different clan within their alliance?

Implodingbanana
this stuff seems pretty complicated i hope my clan survives. were a small shadow clan made up of newbies so its going to be really hard to get things going.(u can almost say my clan is a rehabilitation center for tenno who just woke up :D )
Lunamaniac
None of you should be surprised that there are some things that only big clans should be able to do.
ArchPhaeton
I hope this kinda content is completely skip-able. I don't want to deal with people. That's what I liked of WF, becoming a space ninja and doing things without worrying about dealing with the average internet "charming dudes". Going to the areas that the Solar Rails unlock is entirely optional. They're bonus areas, not required.

Nothing in the game is compulsory, you can still get all the resources from the badlands. You just won't be involved politically.

It isn't like your clan can be destroyed or lost as a result of Badlands. The only way you can possible lose anything is by building a tower and being unable to defend it. However that isn't the only side of Badlands. There is also the entire side that consists of clans working together or against each other to carry out rivalries or back up clans who have been good to them. If [Clan A] has a node set to 25% taxes and [Clan B] contests them offering to lower the taxes to 5% most people would want to help the clan willing to give them a fairer cut, don't you agree? That sort of thing is also a factor to consider. Your clan doesn't have to build towers in order to be a presence, even if your clan is tiny. None of you should be surprised that there are some things that only big clans should be able to do. It isn't really like that. Like I said, big clans will be able to afford towers much easier, without a doubt. But little clans need to do less work to organize, they're able to pick and choose their conflicts and allies much, much easier. No one clan will be likely to defend their tower all on their own. Even big clans will benefit from the help of Pub players and smaller clans. Badlands is going to involve more then just rivalry in that sense. I hope this kinda content is completely skip-able. If you don't want to participate you just don't mess with it. The extra nodes are, as far as I'm aware, just a high risk, high reward deal. All your clan has to do in order to avoid losses is not build Rails. Playing to defend other Clan's rails is a different story.
OniDax
Small clans need to form alliances. My clan The Founders is open to forming and/or joining an Alliance once Badlands hits.
