Deaths.Reap3r Posted April 5, 2014 Share Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) Ok so, when I was watching the devstream today (the only one I watched almost all of), I was excited to see what Melee 2.0 would give us. And to be honest, I thought the hype built up for it wasn’t going to be fulfilled.But boy was I wrong. And that’s a good thing. I’m no fan of having to find mod cards for better and more badass combos, but I can live with it… maybe. But that’s not the reason I’m making this topic. When you guys were showing off the hit counter I was like, oh cool… but uh… where is it? And I found out 2 seconds later it was a tiny &#! number on the bottom corner all by itself… I was expecting the hit counter to look like… you know Metal Gear Revengence? (The new MG game) But the counter is at the very bottom. All alone. Really I don’t really think it would be that hard to put the number on the right side of your frame and to make it … I dunno… 20 times bigger? And then on the first 1-5 hits (or the 1st multiplier) the number would be white, then on the 6-10 hits (or the 2nd multiplier) the number would be blue, then on the 11-15 hits (or 3rd multiplier) the number would be orange, and then finally red. (And have the hit counter shake a lot when it’s about to go after you got into the blue numbers or higher.) Well imo it seems easy to do, but it will make a huge difference. So it would look something like this... Now obviously it wont look ANYTHING like this... because theres no way DE is capable of making their game look THIS good because their engine probably cant handle the graphics of mspaint. But still. Something like this... And now this change is really REALLY small and probably won’t even matter too much but like I said in my title…. Yah. While Steve was blocking with the glaive, he was moving it. I just think that the block animation for the glaive should just be a spinney glaive. Yah… ANDDDDDD finally. I don’t know if DE has added this, but I’m going to assume they haven’t. I just think that it would be super cool if the Stalker would appear and then say something like “face me like the tenno you are” or something… lol I don’t know. But after he appears, he uses radial disarm, and you have to f1ght him irl with you melee only. So that’s it… tell me what you guys think, and I know it’s not released yet but... hey. If it were in the middle of the screen it would just be too obstructive. They already got complaints about something as small as the four dots on the reticule to indicate the selected power, so I can only imagine what kind of backlash they'd receive for putting a giant number there.
