Archazad
I just solo-ed mission to assasinate Jackal as a 1st time using Loki. So while i'm on the boss fight I died like 3 times but I'm not sure if i died because of those orange ball land mines that small flying robots drop all over the floor or Jackal have homing missles but i manage to defeated it while keeping my long distance with it and use my invisibility alot. I would like to farm again since it drop Rhino blueprint parts. So anyone would tell me any tips about Jackal, about its weapon and such?
Antharax
Don't solo. Force your team focus fire on one limb and the jackal will be stunlocked into oblivion...That's about it.
Archazad
Well yea having team is much easier and faster but from what I observe when Jackel stumble upon the ground and it get back standing again I saw it launches a grenade or missles and the damages is hell of a punch. So does the grenade/missles it launch have a spread all over the place or just the circle of it self?
Sealgaire
The number one killer in Jackal fights I've seen is his grenade spam. He shoots about 8 grenades in an arch in front of him that will kill even highly shielded Warframes instantly. If you just don't get in front of him, the fight is pretty easy. Anacolada
The best way to kill jackal is solo or in two, otherwise he has too much health when grouped in 3 or 4. Energy syphon artifact which regenerates energy is REALLY useful fighting him, simply have someone with high dps to damage one limb and the other player should be excalibur who uses his slash dash when jackal is stunned on the ground, then repeat :)
Xiangzhu
I'm a Jackal soloer, soloing him for Rhino parts (1 more to go), and this is just several tips I want to share with you. 1. Never ever stand still in front of Jackal unless he is down, Jackal tend to randomly S#&$ out what I called overpowered-deadly-oranges around and in front of him. So run around him in circles (But please keep distance). His turn speed is rather slow. 2. Always aim for both of Jackal's legs first! Unless you take it down your shots won't count and will be absorbs by Jackal's shield. 3. Don't always aim for the same leg. Once the left is down and he stood back aim for the right one instead. I don't know if it's a bug but the leg that you've just recently destroyed won't take any damage for few seconds. 4. Watch for energy spheres and ammo dropping from the ceiling. Trust me you need as much energy as you can gather. 5. Always! Always, use your abilities! Pick up as many energy as you can and use your ability on him. An Excalibur will notice that his dash will take about 8%-10% of Jackal's HP. If you're a Loki, once he decide to stomp and you're at his close range, quickly jump or switch with one of the flyers, and also deploy your decoy to the other side of the arena and hide behind the pillar, with this you can take your time reloading of restoring your shield/health. On the other hand if you're a Volt, then just stay out of range and use your ultimate ability once Jackal is down when you can, and you'll defeat it in a matter of minutes. 6. Always bring recovery items. The red bomb that the flyers drop actually take out huge amount of your shield. I remember stepping on only 3 of those and my 500 shield depleted down to 150 in a matter of seconds. 7. Destroy the flyers when you can. You don't want them filling the whole arena with bombs everywhere! 8. When you're in the edge and can't dodge his attack, just jump down the drain and you'll respawn back to the arena taking no damage what so ever. 9. After the fight hide behind the pillars, many enemies will storm inside the arena. 10. Please for the love of Tenno, do not ever go near Jackal and attempt to go rambo with him, I see so many stupid players do this and died. Well unless you are equip with level 30 gauntlet, then please fill free to charge at Jackal when he's down. (If you decide to use level 30 melee damage mod or critical damage/chance mod, you'll be able to take about 20% of Jackal HP with 2 charge hit.) -----EDIT----- *Just an extra note, equip your weapons with as many armour piercing mod as you can. As for your warframe, equip shield recharge or capacity mod and increase armour mod. *When Jackal is about to stomp, jump! Or if you're Excalibur, JUMP ability! (Excalibur jump ability also can save your sorry tin-can &#! from Jackal's grenades. Edited January 7, 2013 by Xiangzhu
