Must Hoard Dat Loot!

Just a short random post. Ignoring the huge looming elephant in the room that will soon be Update 13, I've been reflecting on a small, perhaps inane thing concerning alert weapons. Now, I like many of you started out as a noob and once cast my eyes upon weapons others had that were only available from alert missions. The overall consensus seems to be that many of these items range from average to bad, except for their aesthetics sometimes. But after many months of Warframe since I started at the very beginning of Open Beta when DE transitioned their stuff to Steam, I already have all those alert weapons. 

 

But here's the thing......most of the time I see them pop up I can't stop getting them! :P Unless I really am occupied with IRL things, if during my play session I see an alert for something I already have I just can't help myself. My loot hoarder tendencies won't leave me. E.g. I'm one of those players in an Elder Scrolls type game where I pick up and keep everything. EVERYTHING.

 

At the back of my mind I try to justify it by hoping maybe DE extends their prime only trading policies to also alert weapons, then I could make a few plat. But even then that's a bit of a stretch.

 

So what I'm really saying is that I want to put it out there: Is there anyone in the playerbase that likes to collect stuff even though you already own a copy? Do your loot hoarder tendencies keep you awake? Can your hunger for all the treasures in the galaxy be satiated?

for some of you out there, what are your feels about hoarding stuff you already own?

i think that the objects that i choose NOT to have are what really define me, because that emphasizes the things that i did chose.

 

Regarding hoarding i doubt that anyone will make some plat out of alert BPs and/or login reward BPs because all of us get them... and most of us even have lots of prime stuff that is near impossible to sell becuase of similar reasons. 

I do get all alerts though, but to make some credits.

I always hoard everything.

 

Unfortunately that's part of the reason why I left the game I came from (refer to profile), because I can't always keep everything :(

I'm one of those players in an Elder Scrolls type game where I pick up and keep everything. EVERYTHING.

Arkngthand was my trophy hall, but I had to move out, the Lootbag invasions stopped me :(
