Armor Affected Shield?

I confused with armor explaination, is it affected shield? although i read through warframe wikia hundred times but after i experiment with my own character against napalm bomber lv 30 , the result is:

 

equipped steel fiber ----> 2-3 shot then my character's death.

no equipped steel fiber ---> 1 shot and death.

 

with hp and shield around 500

 

I wonder if there are people who know the truth and please explain to me. Thanks :D

Armor does not affect shields at all, it only takes effect once your shields are gone and you start taking hp damage.

 

Adding a Steel Fiber basically adds more health so you can take more damage before dying.

Yes, essentially a "damage reduction", if you want to call it that, depending on your "Steel Fibers" level.

I already wrote that i read wikia.... Also, it's nova warframe that i tested and she has very low armor unlike valkyr, rhino or frost.
