Melee 2.0 Aiming

Melee 2.0 looks really promising.

In the recent devstream you guys show some of the combos, and one of them, similar too the finishing move that is in the game by now, needs the player to aim for the target.

Wouldn't it be a great addition to the combosystem if the angle of aiming would matter for the combo.

For example if you have to aim up and press attack for a juggler launcher and aim down for a legsweep?

 

Playing Warframe is in my opinion very much about style, and you guys deliver that allready in the games movement.

Enough DMC content so NO.

Suddenly DMC has angle sensitive combos? Or are we now just throwing the name DMC around for anything that is melee combo related?

 

 

On topic: I agree with Ryojin, but I think looking at a downed enemy and pressing melee to initiate a finisher is... well an interesting way to execute the move.

If it's really like this then I'll enjoy not randomly executing any random enemy that happens to be laying at my feet while I cut up his friends

I think you might be right about the DMC thing I thought dmc had a fixed camera position sorta thing to your shoulder or something and a targeting system all you had to do was push the attack buttons and a direction or some stuff

No no no no. Not the Mount&Blade blocking system.

 

It's over complicated system. Imagine aiming your camera to parry a blow from Grineer butcher while getting your butt shot by other 19 Grineer in the room, not a good sign imo. DMC also doesn't have an angle sensitive combo.

 

The only thing we need is a soft lock in order to move toward the target efficiently without wasting our time swinging sword in the air.
