Melee 2.0 And The Galatine

At about 46:10 in Devstream 26 they said that there will be no more charge attacks, and it sounded like it was being replaced with melee channeling. Later in the devstream they showed some new Glaive gameplay, and they could still throw it (like the current charge attacks). So if charges are gone, how can the Glaive still be thrown? But, onto my actual point for this, if there are no charges, does that mean that the Galatine will sort of be like the Acrid after damage 2.0? I'm not complaining, I really like the new melee system, I just want to know what you guys think.

My guess its maybe the charge stats will be replaced with channeling stats. Maybe Galatine can channel higher damage per energy then other weapons? That's actually just a hope then a guess. I would hate to see Galatine suck because it is the coolest great sword in my opinion, even though we only have 2.

Also, I think come mêlée 2.0, no mêlée weapon is gonna be worse than what it is now. They all got buffed and have combos. It can't possibly be worse lol

Whats with the accents? Mëłęě 2.0? Its like pierced gothic cousin of times new roman Edited by Cemges

Who knows at this point, the stats on most if not all of the melee weapons will have to change somewhat with the removal of charge attacks. Weapons with high charge / low swing damage will be have to be balanced / compensated (maybe previous charge dmg will move into channel dmg?). We'll have to wait till Wednesday to see how it'll all work out =O
