Its That Weapon The Best Pistol?

The Seer??? That weapon drops the boss of Mercury and im thinking to lvl up and potato it. Is good that thoughts?

Try the Brakk or the Detron, but it might be a bit hard getting them.

Brakk parts drop from G3, Detron drops for Harvey.

I love the seer myself its my 3rd favorite sidearm. so yea I'd say its pretty good.

People will say it's a bad weapon, but it isn't. It's a great all-purpose pistol, with its zoom capabilities and equally distributed damage over the three damage types. Any weapon is good, if you put enough effort into it.

some people like it. it's got decent stats, I suppose, and some natural zoom. but best pistol is the marelok, hands down. as for best sidearm, personally I'd still say marelok, but stuff like the brakk gives it competition

 

I didn't really like the seer, but my non-OP sidearm of choice would be the magnus/akmagnus. I'd say pick up one of those or the lex/vasto

Seer is a great marksman pistol.

It's very versatile, and very fun (imo).

I still use it for all missions whenever I have a short-range primary.

It's cool, but definitely not the best. If you're looking for something grwat for low-levels and still viable even in end-game, build Akbolto.

Seer is quite decent imho. Not the best but not the worst either. Although it has some annoying shortcomings (mainly reload speed). You shouldn't potato it unless you have few spare catalysts

I've ranked my seer to 30 and just put it away, didn't even bother to potato it. (that's just what I personally did, that does not mean others did so too, any weapon can be amazing via the use of mods)

Bronco Prime too. If you can't get Brakk or Detron especially.

It's not "the" best sidearm, but it packs a quite a bit of punch and is one of my personal favorite precision weapons. The zoom and non-hitscan can be tricky to get used to, but the high base damage and balanced stats make it scale quite well against any faction, and the fire rate and clip size scale decently with mods and make missed shots less than punishing than it's sidegrade, the Lex. Unfortunately it's major downside compared to the Lex is a lack of crit chance, which means headshot damage doesn't scale as well.

 

So it's a fun weapon, probably not endgame worthy, but I don't regretting potatoing it.

Lex with corrosive build is a bit of a boss vs Grineer... It can also be pretty deadly as a crit build too, 1 in every 3 rounds.

The Seer is a really good pistol, i suggest you to Focus on the damage and equip a Lethal Torrent.

The Seer would be a lot cooler if they added a small AoE damage effect to it to match the explosive effect of its ammo.

 

Still, it's fun to use what basically seems to be a 40k style bolt pistol in Warframe :P

if they changed the damage type for the seer to blast instead of being split evenly I would say it would be one of the best, right now the seer is still a great pistol I have put 5 forma and a cata in it and still take it to T3s because it does great damage.

Actually what he said is entirely true.

 

You just are intentionally acting obtuse to troll him.

 

Firstly, the 15k vs. 30k comparison is bad at best:

 

Viewed as a function of distance, the DPS of the Brakk is considerably less past 'in your face', because most of the pellets won't make contact and will meet a steep damage fall off.

 

Even in its best range the marginal damage gained over the marelok is merely the extra 50% added to crit contributed by mods and multiplied by the crit adds a measly 15%ish increase. 

 

Even with reload taken into account, it is nowhere near 2x (30% is even being optimistic) more effective in its optimal range.

Did you even try the Seer? It is a hell of a weapon. VERY high damage per shot (with no fall off), surely not as strong as the Brakk at close range, but at long raange it owns.

A small AoE would be better! Like 0,5m or so.
