I have to wonder, while melee 1.0 still exists, who else:

 

-uses melee constantly/exclusively

-does NOT use charge attacks on weapons that don't specialize in them(only charge with jat kittag, kestrel, glaive)

-does NOT use weapons for zorencoptering

 

It's quite effective. It just sounds like I'm the only one who does.

My rank 30 orthos has so many damage mods and speed increases that I don't need to use charge attacks or my other weapons. I 1-shot pretty much everything.

I despise Zoren-copering...I'm mad the dev team allows that exploit. it defeats the purpose of sprint speed and speed mods if all people do is zorencopter! And i love fang prime! Just tapping "E" over and over with speed mods makes you swing SO fast!

Ash/Loki with Fang Prime. I rarely shoot if I can help it nowadays.... This new melee system looks promising. I am curious about the knock back effect of things like the Bo, Kestrel Fragor etc...I'll find out in 41/2 days though...

Sometimes I just equip my Kogake and do all the mission with it, smashing grineers to the ground and punching/kicking them... So enjoyable...

 

(melee 1.0 won't be removed,it just won't be as much powerful as 2.0 .)

I regularly melee with Valk+Zorens, sometimes I go on a melee killing spree for a large part of a mission but I don't use melee exclusively. I do not use coptering at all. I don't like charge attacks, so I didn't even get the galatine yet. The jat kitten, yes, it's cool but I'm not using it much. The glaive? Great potential, but I sold it shortly after maxing it.

 

Oh, and Loki, of course, when invisible I tend to melee everything.

I actually rarely see people Zorencoptering. Maybe I'm just lucky.

When I wan't to go fast I play Nova and Wormhole everywhere.

In any case, my favourite melee weapon is Kogake. I don't use it exclusively and I do occasionally charge though.

Dakra Prime. Only thing I'm missing for that one is the jagged Edge mod to boost Slash dmg.

I still use my guns, but I do rather like Melee. I have some Dual Kamas, so I'm rather fond of slide-slashing by a group of enemies and turning around to see them dead in my path.

... I play Loki, though, so occasionally surrendering to Kama Fever gets me killed. But it's worth it every time.

I mostly use melee with my Valkyr (Dual Ichors), but about the coptering....you can turn EVERYTHING into a copter with maxed power strenght Warcry, I am not kidding.

That's me to a very high degree. Heck, I tend to go into a berserker mode and tear things up with my fang primes. We should run a mission or two sometimes together. There was only one other player who was tearing it up in hand-to-hand combat that I've seen in all the hours I've played this game.

 

P.S.- And yes, I do all this on a Volt. :-)

Been using melee almost Exclusively since the day I got this game. I rarely use my primary / secondary now that stealth damage damage x4

.... never get tired playing my ash and just swinging my duel ichor around and seeing 4k+ crits

I use melee all the time, Twin Meat Grinders (Fang Prime) are really satisfying.

 

I do copter though, you gotta have that mobility, especially if you are melee-ing things

me and most of my weapons do this... charging only with glaive. The coptering part I do sometimes only with weapons that conveniently have a variation of it, and I am in the heat of the moment where I need to run away. (HATE ZORENS)

Which is why I'm so psyched for Melee 2.0. I already try and use Melee 1.0 to it's fullest extent already. Man, Can't wait.

I use Melee a lot. Besides from obvious Zorencopter that i use most of the time.

 

Orthos Prime is amazing for normal swings and slide attack spams besides from having the biggest slam attack radius in the game. Probably the overall best melee right now.

 

Galatine i use sometimes when playing Loki (I'm not gonna say Ash because i don't play Ash)

 

Dual Ethers are good for slide attack spam. I use them sometimes with Loki too, spam slide attack while invisible is incredibly effective.

 

Dual Ichors if i'm Valkyr for them crits.

 

Scoliac if i'm Saryn just because she is a venomous dinosaur dominatrix in high heels and she deserves a whip.

 

That's pretty much what i use.

I use melee so much that I put it as my primary. My favorites are the Furax for the sliding uppercut, the Orthos for it's intricate animations, and the Galatine because huge range.

I seldom charge too. Mostly Dual Ichors/Fang Prime/ Orthos Prime / Machete Wraith/ Dakra Prime.

 

I use excal with slash dash for mobility.
