[Void Boss] Corrupted Origin

The following is an idea for a boss that would be found in Orokin Towers, adding assassination to Void missions.

First of all, Lotus Commentary:

"Tenno, you have come here to put a stop to the Corrupted onslaught throughout the Origin system."

"Be wary, as the large amounts of Corrupted only mean that there is something on unknowable power nearby."

(as you get close she starts breaking up) "Te--o, ----------ting interfereance.  Heavy void f---s are ca-----------connection to--"

"---den!  ------kin!  Tenno, get out o------!!"

As you venture deeper, strange, new corrputed enemies emerge - reminiscent of the Stalker - shadow versions of whatever frame you're wearing.  Finally, there is a door that all four Tenno have to be at to open.

As it opens, cutscene commences.

Large cylinder door opens, shining white light spills forth.  Suddenly, a golden explosion rocks the door, sending it flying towards the Tenno and knocking them on their asses.

A golden, prime looking, vague warframeesque figure approches, his body mostly incandescent light, with coiled gold bars a la prime warframes.

He fights via parkour, and throwing a golden disc at you almost like a glaive, but with a homing feature.  He also has a strange pistol that knocks whoever it shoots back a bit, and saps energy.

You have to aim for the glowing orange pieces of golden bars, and knock them off to make him vulnerable.

Commentary:

""The Progeny will have to prove themselves worthy before the floodgates are opened."

"A good hit, Tenno."

"We will wipe the system clean of you."

(as he starts taking damage, his voice starts becoming less and less distorted)

"Agh!  loosing... grasp!"

"Control... Fading!"

"Systems.. breached!"

(You take off the last bit of golden bling he throws the disc and it impales itself into the ground, and he falls to his knees as the luminescence fades, revealing what can only be described as Proto-Excalibur Prime.  It fades to cutscene.)

(Holding his head, metallic vibrations coat his voice through his helmet)

"Agh!  Havent had a headache like this since Mezner..."  He looks up.

"Tenno!  Than... it worked?  We're free?"

One Tenno looks about contused, and then to the golden disc, now revealed to be a Glaive Prime.  It starts moving, and the Tenno points its primary at it.

The Proto Excalibur stands up, and the Tenno point their weapons at him, before the glaive slaps their weapons from their hands.  The Tenno ready their melee weapons, but the Excalibur raises both his hands as the glaive retracts into his arm.

"I mean no harm, Tenno.  I am one of you."

His helmet retracts, revealing....

Hayden Tenno.

The Tenno Squad clutch at their heads, as memories flash through their minds.  Hayden stays like that, and speaks.

"The Neural Sentry had me.  Damn Orokin and their machines, Didn't help against the Sentience one bit.  Anyways, the Lotus is still alive right?"

The Tenno look at each other, their guards loosening.

"I'll take that as a yes.  Take me to her.  Consider this a rescue mission, long overdue."  He motions to the Cryopod he bust out of, and makes a sweeping gesture to all of the golden pieces that used to be plugged into him.

The Tenno look about confused, but shrug and motion for him to follow them.  He nods, and his helmet comes back up.  "Don't expect me to be helpless either.  I suspect that the Void Storm going on will prevent us from direct contact with her till the last minute."

The "Rescue" portion of this mission begins, but Hayden is no pushover.  He throws his glaive at enemies, which completely destroys them, and whenever you come to a strange door that requires a key, he says.

"I'll get it.  Access locks are keyed to me."  He pushes his glaive into the lock, and it opens.

Hayden's Commentary.

"Holy S#&$, how long have I been gone?"

"Wow.  I could have used that back in Lasria."  When you use an ultimate.  Upon hearing the name, the lights flicker slightly.

"You make me feel proud, Tenno." When you use a glaive or glaive prime.

Very interesting. If Hayden is in fact canon, then this would fit nicely.

If it weren't for Hayden Tenno in it, I'd call this Tower 3 Rescue - finding dormant Tenno in the tower, saving them and escaping.

Good idea.
