An option to reverse the hacking controls.

 

 

 

 

So it's been about five [six, now] months since the last time I made a thread about this so I'm doing it again.

 

For anyone that somehow doesn't know, for right handed users a left click turns the dials RIGHT and a right click turns the dials LEFT.  Back around update 7 a feature to reverse this was highly requested and was on a list somewhere as "to be added".  Now we're up to Update 12.n and it's still oddly missing.

 

No dev has commented on this to date.  I don't want to sound DEMANDING but... it's been more than a year that this has been going on, guys.

I never thought this was weird. Actually, it was quite a while until I realized the right click made the dials turn the other way. By then, I had already ruined my average hacking time.

Don't think of a left click as rotating the top of a dial right....think of it as rotating the bottom of the dial left! :D

Didn't even know until a short while ago that right click made the dial go the other way. Even without it though, I manage to solve ciphers in less than 3 seconds most times.

 

Also, as above poster mentioned, think of your left click as holding the dial from the bottom making it turn clockwise, and the orientation problem pretty much goes away.

 

I doubt this issue can be counted as "truly important". If people hate to spin dials that much, just craft a Cipher and solve it with a single button click.

its pretty much second nature now. and if you do forget which click is which, you'll know after you've clicked it once whether or not you're going in the right direction. it really doesn't seem like a big deal

 

we should go back to trying to figure out why scott has a vendetta against helms with stats

 Yeah could easily be done... I believe if you swap primary and secondary fire in keybindings... it even flips the puzzle around. I guess they would just have to separate that.

Does it though? Idk much about the cost and everything but if Hawken could have Dedicated Servers why not Warframe. It make for a much smoother and more enjoyable Warframe experience. Some times I can't deal with all the StrictNATs, the lag, the Host Migrations etc.

Try submitting a support ticket. You can do that for this kind of stuff. You might have more success. Or try sending a PM to Rebecca or Megan so they can present the issue to dev. You can't expect them to sift through everything on the forums.

There is a problem with hawken though for servers. the servers are so different that if you are in north east american and try to play west you have high chance of lag.

Issuing a support ticket got a reply telling me to post on the forums.  So I did.  Multiple times.  Over several months.

 

Next step is direct PMs then, I suppose.

it's also not a big problem to fix it. it's a simple addition.
