Aercascade Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 I know there's a 75% or 50% discount for buying the platinum. but for me, i can't buy it since i can't borrow my parent's credit card or to keep myself being scammed (i have encountered many of my friends being scammed by buying some in the internet using a credit card from other countries) so, for safety sake, i don't like buying platinums using a credit card, but i still want platinums. so i was thinking... why can't we just have platinums for free in the game but a difficult mission? For me, 1 platinum for a daily mission is fair to me since it's a money in the game that you need to but it from via credit card. So don't you think that we need this kind of feature to get platinums in the game instead of buying it for cash? Q: Why don't you just joined an event where you get 1000 platinums for free from the warframe crew? A: Yeah. My luck is not that great. And i don't have time for making it like the Tenno tune contest.. Q: Why don't you use a hack generator/tool? A: Well first, i don't like hacking. Second, i just watched a tutorial in other day (well i just got curious if it work. If you think i'm lying because of what i said in the following sentences after this, I'm actually telling the truth. I'm not that good at explaining..) well it works for the user itself or the one who posted that tutorial video, but it's a complete rip-off since the commentors says that it's fake. Lol. If you think you'll be scammed for using a pay pal to get Platinums from using a generator. Then maybe... just maybe, you need to re assess the world you live in again. Just saying. I'd advise using pre-paid gift cards then paying via paypal. You will not get scammed and paypal will help you get a refund back. Unlike steam because they don't do a thing like that... really bad actually.

And sometimes you may loose a lot of money when you follow these orders. You would actually save money to buy the plat directly instead of a rip off from some surveys.

Spend a few hours to gather a prime frame or weapons. Sell it. Profit. Like myself, spent 5 hours to get that Boltor prime...sold it for X amount of plat... or just simply selling your event mod (f you have any) Free plat as a login reward is not a good option imo. Play a very difficult mission for plat reward is not an option either, as people may abuse it. (afk...low level player without useful mod and weapons...etc...)

Things almost never go wrong and in the extremely rare instances there have been fradulent charges or any other problem, Paypal has fixed it for me. If you don't want to use paypal or a credit card, get yourself a debit card. That's what I use. Works the same way. Banks are really good about putting the smackdown on any issues that happen with stuff you buy online, physical purchase or otherwise. As long as you're in the right anyways. Even then it all comes down to being careful, if you're paranoid about your money (which is good to some degree) just keep an eye on your bank account and if anything wierd pops up, report it to your bank ASAP and get it fixed. it takes 5 seconds to use your phone or the web to check your bank balance anyways. Don't expect DE to give out free plat for events in game. Plat is DE's lifeblood, it's what keeps the game running. If no one bought plat there would be no game anymore. Don't want to spend any of your money to get plat? Trade for it. Spend your time instead.

Its completely unreasonable to give away plat for free. You can even earn plat by selling rare mods for it. There is no need to give away plat for actually nothing since you didnt even had to pay for warframe in the firstplace. /thread

If you don't have a credit card of your own; your parents won't pay for platinum in game; and you don't want to install Steam, install Warframe again via Steam, buy a Ste am wallet prepaid card, redeem that card on Steam, link your Warframe and Steam accounts, and then purchase platinum with those funds; I don't think that you should have any platinum.

Other than that, gift cards, steam gifts or trade through in game. You know, people buy plats sometimes not just to earn new things or cosmetics, but because they want to support the game on their own will due to D.E.'s good work. It's the fairest f2p I've played(not RNG-wise, but still).
