How To Beat Eurasia

Question

Eurasia is a challenging quest in the Earth system.  In fact, many players find it is the first real challenge they encounter as new players.  I would like to start a thread offering up some tips on how to approach this mission.  I don't claim to be an expert on the mission.  There surely are some experts out there and perhaps they will offer their advice in this thread.

I refer you to the wiki for a brief description of the mission type.  I would also suggest you watch a you tube video of the quest to familiarize yourself with it.

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Interception

The you tube is of a vet leveling his pistol and warframe.  His weapon is a karak probably heavily modded.  If I am not mistaken a karak is available to build MR 3, but the resources are available past earth.

If you have no real desire to run this mission or learn how to win this challenging mission you may want to head to the recruiting channel in game and ask for help completing this mission.  Typically, this will result in a high level player carrying you through the mission.  Please note though, this can be a challenge for some high level players so it is not a 100% sure solution.  If they are not strong enough to carry you, then you can have them drop you past the node.

Here are some tips for the rest of you.

A)  You will either be the host of this mission and drop into the insertion with one or more others.

or

B)  You will drop into the mission already in progress.

Each of the above situations should be handled in a different way.  Let's look at case A first, dropping into the insertion.

Case A

1)  When you first drop into insertion ask your squad mate(s) to wait for a full team to fill before heading out.  This can be an extremely difficult challenge.  In fact, convincing people to wait is probably the most difficult task of this mission.  And succeeding in it will do more to help insure a successful run than most anything else.

2) Once a full team arrives head to the objective and the first tower.  If a weak squad mate insists on heading to towers before your team fills, you may want to abort and try again to save time.

3)  It is a good idea to kill any enemy in sight as quick as possible.  The group should move quickly through each tower location, dropping one man off at each tower.  Quickly killing the initial Grineer and capturing towers is a very good way to start this mission.  If you see your squad heading in one direction pretty confidently, then reverse course and backtrack to guard towers in your rear.

4)  At this point each player holds their tower and supports another tower very close and within line of sight.  I think a good way to do this is to dispatch the trash Grineer first, keeping an eye out for any console runners.  These guys will run to consoles like they do in other missions to set off alarms.  Here they will also grab your tower.  Kill these guys as top priority.

5)  Eventually, heavies will show up.  Use your powers to dispatch them, or good cover and fire techniques.  Look to adjacent towers to provide support.  You even can provide long range support to towers on other side of map since LOS is pretty good on this map.

6)  Don't die like a hero.  This is very important.  If you are getting seriously pressured fall back from your tower.  The Grineer will take it and move on, when you can move back in unmolested and take it back keeping the points they gain to a very minimum.  Making a last stand to hold a tower will only result in you distracting another player to come revive you.  Plus the tower will be lost anyway.

7)  If all goes well, you will achieve a victory in six to eight minutes.

Case B

In this case, you drop into a mission in progress or your team mate(s) are not willing to wait for a full squad.

1)  Dispatch any grineer in your immediate area.  You may drop into a large group of fighters so be prepared.

2) You need to quickly assess the situation.  Some key things to look for include,

      a)  How many towers does the team hold.

      b)  Is the team ahead or far behind in percentages.

      c)  Are all of the teammate rookies.

Head to the location of any red tower(s) and work carefully to clear it.  If more than one tower are red then once clear move to the next adjacent red tower and clear it.  This will stop the Grineer from gaining more points.  Stay at this cleared tower until it is controlled, then move back and gain control of the other tower.  If at this point, your fellow teamates can't manage to clear at least one of the other three towers or you have trouble clearing yours and they also are having trouble consider aborting.  You will have only lost a few minutes of play time.

At this point, you have stabilized the situation.  Continue to monitor your tower and support the adjacent tower if possible.  Your teammates should have their hands full wherever they are.

Things to keep in mind,

IF you are ahead on points, then holding two towers will guarantee victory.

It is a bad idea to head to this mission with your noob set of weapons.

It is a good idea to use your WF powers.  In fact, it is often key to success.

Know ahead of time the best way for your particular warframe to handle hvy Grineer formations.  This really is not the mission to learn these skills.

Remember if all fails and you find youself spending too much time failing at this mission consider going to the recruit channel and ask for help.

I am sorry if the limited suggestions I posted here don't help.  With any luck some more talented folks will add better advice.  This can be a very challenging mission but with a little preparation and a lot of teamwork it can go smoothly.
