Parkour 2.0  and Stealth of course :D

 

Probably for U14 or 15 imo

I haven't found a thread about a stealth revamp yet but I have a stealth based game concept  : theft  = https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/198156-game-mode-concept-theft/

 

Thoughts? Should those  be in top priority or are there other things  that should come first?

Stealth should be in U14 , or even 13 ( remember the new rescue mission scott talked about ? )

We will need much more than Ninja gaiden pakour like move arsenal to create a strong suggestion thread what do you have in mind?

 

I believe combo system should offer a bridge to parkour system.Examples

 

1.Bicycle kick

 

2.Super Tatsumaki

,

 

3.Super Moves

 

4.Unarmed fighting

 

Exanples for Parkour moves used to travel

 

1.Wall walker/ing + double and triple jump(from Devil May Cry)

 

2.Secret Rooms entrance specifications and usage of wall bounce advanced skills

Stealth should be the next big thing DE spend a serious amount of time on because stealthy players should be able to have as much fun with their sneaky frames as I have charging in with my rhino.

Agreed , but good stealth would also require fluid movement , with the current system you can't stealthily move around without being catapulted into an enemy platoon

So they should both be reworked as one?

Yeah but I was taling about a game mechaninc change . those are element that are coming for sure  but we still have nothing on parkour and stealth

Why not make stealth and movement improvements together? Movement would have stealth applications, and stealth would require certain movements, no? So why not just bring them together and work on them at the same time? I don't think that's outside the realm of possibility.

The thing is i'm suprised they haven't included movement with melee O_o

why do people keep talking about Parkour 2.0?

 

the free running in the game works just fine.....

 

in fact the ONLY change i can think of that is a must in terms of strictly movement is the damn auto-roll when you land at speed.

Fine ? Really?

 

You probably use ripline to go around all the time X)

 

The wall detection is terrible, auto rolling is part of it, wall running is extremely blocky and non fluid , + no incentive to parkour + coptering is still here

The devs already said that stealth 1.0 isn't going to be one large patch. They will roll in features and mechanics naturally over time for the most part.

 

We already know that U14 will be primarily about Focus. That's a pretty big feature, but I suppose if we were to get another "2.0" in that patch it would be parkour 2.0. The animations and work for that are across the board, unlike melee 2.0.

okay soooo yeah, i ripline everywhere. but! i dont get to play on val as much as id like too, and when im not on her i dont seem to have any problems. xD

 

aside from that auto roll, and the physics acceleration fail from you end up launching yourself i dont really have any issues. the free run aspect of this game is confined to the layout of the tiles itself. there are only specific areas that call for wall running and with the current system you can make it through those areas without any problems.

Understood. So it's not big enough to be called a X.0

As their plans work now they are not doing a big single minded revamp like melee 2.0. It's going to be an ongoing iterative process. Supposedly Movement get's the next look, wouldn't count on u14.
