There's been a misunderstanding. The current number of clans represent 3870 slots. I was asking of those slots, how many have actual players.

That's irrelevant. From the sounds of it, the 4000 cap is based upon the theoretical number of players and not the actual number of players.

 

The maximum size of an Alliance is 4000 members. What this means you can combine any tier of clan in your Alliance, but the theoretical members can never exceed 4000. You will not be able to form an Alliance with 6 Moon clans that only have 250 people in them, or any other permutation that would exceed 4000 member slots.

Even if the clans have less than the maximum, the alliance system will always treat them as if each clan were at max capacity for its tier.

I'm aware, I mentioned the same thing on the previous page. The information is relevant as far as gauging the strength of the alliance.

 

Though now that I think about it, this might all be available in-game.

And such a thing is impossible to know unless each and every warlord gives the specific player count for their respective clans. There's no easy way to pull that data.

DE mentioned an alliance chat, the data can be pulled from members. Alternatively, it might just be shown in-game. (Players/Slots/4000)

We're going to figure it out once we actually can, but there's no point to ask this right now because we can't figure out who's active right now.

That wouldn't be the easiest thing to do, considering active/inactive players. I would imagine a lot of clans here will have an influx in active members/new recruits during the next couple of days/weeks. I mean theoretically to keep an accurate head count you could get every clan to send something like a weekly report of active players.

Might recheck that.  I think we only have 20 slots left

Our document says otherwise, but I'll doublecheck as soon as possible.

 

EDIT: Confirmed 20 slots. I forgot to add a Shadow clan to our document. Thank you for pointing it out.

We're just a small clan of a couple of active players, close friends, 5 people in our clan I believe. We'd like to join the Solar Coalition. It'll be fun to deal with the larger clans.

Ok folks, that's it, we officially have room for ONE MORE GHOST CLAN. After that, the only way to join the coalition is to leave your clan in favor of a clan that is already a member.

As I said privately, you guys are gladly accepted. But is your clan named "Omnicide" or "Omnicide Gaming Community"? I mean in-game.

Omnicide is just fine :) no need for gaming community :D just ruins the awesome line up for clans under the alliance belt xD
